I've tried that. It doesn't help.

Chelsea or Liverpool, it's like a choice between being robbed by a pickpocket or a burglar, but, the way we've played some games, it's like putting all your gear on a wheelbarrow in your driveway with a note saying 'help yourself'.

It took 23 minutes at HOME against a SHITE side for us to register a shot at goal.

I would have threatened the forwards with the fuckign sack ffs..not acceptable.

We scored in the second minute, mate.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Sorry.....I meant for 23 minutes afterwoods there was zero follow up mode into their area....it was as if we settled at 1 nil.

Its bolloks.

Sunderland came believing they could beat us, despite winning virtually fuck all points in recent weeks.

And they very nearly did.

I doubt that they came with that mentality at all.

However, they are pros so i suspect they worked out that we were playing pretty crap and were able to turn the game.

Until they finally got their act together and were able to go ahead., they were losing possession as much as City

Come on, they came to city expecting a tonking. Now they will go to Chelsea thinking they can perhaps get something.

The team we put out last night was more than good enough to beat a bottom of the league team who'd not won for weeks so it's hard to find any credible excuse.

One thing it showed me is the lack of leadership in the team. I think we have become a highly technically gifted team but one which revolves round the brilliant control and skill principally of Silva and Toure. When they are not there, as last night, we can't produce the same technical style of play and so we slumped into some low key, slow style. Last night was a big chance for Milner, Nasri and Aguero to shine, and even more so than our defence and keeper I think they collectively fell well short.

To me it seems that Pellegrini wants to create a style for the team and then it shouldn't matter who the personnel on field are, they should just execute the same thing ...

But with Silva and Yaya missing you can't expect Garcia and Milner to come in and the whole team to dance to the same tune ... he'll, even Nasri looks shit when Silva is not by his side ...

Pelligrini's biggest fault this season has been time and again he has not played to available individuals' strengths ... instead have insisted on putting in a shape and game plan that he sees as our new found 'style' and then have expected the team to produce the same whoever he puts on ... this had also shown in his pressers at times when discussing players.

I think Mancini was similar in that his expectations didn't change with personnel - he expected the same defensive shift from AJ that he got from Milner. The difference with Pellegrini is that he is insisting on the same 'holistic' approach that the upper levels are pushing.

I think Mancini was maybe a bit more pragmatic overall, although as you say had extremely high standards. He seemed more willing to adapt formations, not always with the results he wanted though. Don't want to get into a who was better debate so all I will say is it's been a roller coaster under both!

Yes. Very true. Maybe in 5 years the holistic theory might work. Maybe. All teams suffer if their most creative player doesn't play and we are no exception. It would be sensible to play to the players strengths. Not rocket science. I think that games we have been poor in, this has been a big factor and with just a little tweaking in playing style we would have done better. Both Bacon and Mourinho have done this well
