Just like last time round we seriously lack someone who can create chances and take control of the game. No surprises really considering the team is built around a chap at the end of his career anf another who needs to be dropped at international level.

That potato faced granny shagging cnut is too thick to do the honourable thing and retire from international football. The national side would be better for it if he did, and he could still trade on his reputation for his 'deals'.

Has Sterling even been near the ball this half, let alone kick it?

Even ordinary players from other countries can string a few passes together. It's a foreign concept to England players. Too many players with selfish priorities trying to make "killer" passes.

I keep saying. He plays for a "top 4" side so he must play. Its part of the deal when you sign for scum, pool, arse and chelsea.

All of you calling for Rooney's head are populists in my opinion. He's still the best player you got.
Welbeck runs a lot, but is too poor of a player for this level. Sterling is a very promising player, but still very young ans mixes greatness with sully rookie mistakes. Sturidge is more of a poacher and contributes less to the overall play.

I do agree that Stevie G. is too slow for international football, though.

That was Gerrard's contribution right thee. A yellow card. Refuse to believe the Uruguayan could have been injured by a Gerrard tackle, though.

Go get your eyes checked. My 'popularist' opinion is based on two warm up matches and one and a half tournament matches.

I have been surprised with the press love in for this squad (apart from the obvious scape goat). It reminds me a bit of the press love in for the hapless dippers during the title run in.

Sturridge has been much worse than Rooney.

Can see why Liverpool came 2nd with some of their player's decision making!! Studge has picked up the cheating bug from his teammate as well.

Maybe we need Rodgers and his armband.

just about sums it up there.

You think Wellbeck, Sturridge and Sterling are all better than Shrek?
Wanting Rooney out is fashionable, but not necessarily right.
