I'm confused as to why he was dropped - agree it makes more sense to drop a full back

I don't know why we couldn't drop sagna or Kolorov instead ,both are surplus to requirements as far as I'm concerned , you cannot drop out the number 2 goalie as any injury to the first choice then your fucked.

I agree completely pal.

He was one of the most exciting players we signed for me. At the time.

I watched him when he was a 17 year old and thought he would become a world great. Injury seems to be his biggest obstacle and that's always a tragedy.

Still, if you're not allowed mouth off and your name is tevez, then shut the fuck up if your name is jovetic.

did you say that he's a quality footballer?

No he's an absolute fraud.

We had people saying that when he signed, and you didn't register for another 3 months, are you aware time is linear and only works in one direction?

For my money Slim, that's a sardonic aphorism of the highest order; completely unanswerable to boot.

Well done to you for the wording and delivery.

I would have loved to make such a comment.

Not sure I follow your last paragraph. Isn't everyone on here saying he's got a right to be frustrated, but he needs to have a good look at himself?

It worries me that at 25 he's drifting into Balotelli territory of being incredibly talented youngster, to just another player and his chances are running out.

He needs to sort his fucking head out, he's done next to nothing to deserve a place in the squad, mainly due to his cripple like body.

So out of our strikers this season, it is Jovetic who has been injured the most then ?

If he wasn't such a soft twat he would have played more and probably not have been left out. He seems to find it all too easy to sit out a game if he has a bit of a niggle. How many actual major injuries has he had while at city? He's another Owen Hargreaves who's problems we're mental not physical. He has not done enough in his time at city and that's a fact.

I honestly don't give a fuck if he has or hasn't, he's done next to fuck all since he's been here yet believes he should be walking into a CL squad. His problem is with UEFA, not City, and he should be grateful that he's still on our books.

Apart from the UEFA bit, that's a load of shite.

We would be out of the competition without Jovetic's contribution.

If you want to live on past records, how brilliant have Aguero or Dzeko been in the Champions League for City in the past & how many games has Aguero been fully fit ?

Only to non-accelerating observers.

Just a thought but I doubt that anyone watching City from the old Kippax terraces could have been realistically classified as a non-accelerating observer.

You're ignoring the fact that since he did play and matter in the latter stages of the group then based on his history he's absolutely unlikely to do that again. Way more likely to get the flu before barca away and then have a tight hammy at home.

Possibly. As Aguero is likely to score 3 v Newcastle & be out for a month & Dzeko is likely to respond to a start v Barca by swanning around doing fuck all then being taken off.

Yeah but when you are in your early teens.... there was a life beyond football inspite of the stupid comment by Shankly. All those big, bountiful babes at my Comprehensive school , needed our attention.

Warching Barca today and over the last few weeks, the debate about who should or shouldn't have made the squad is fast becoming a moot point.

Their front three are rippng teams apart and the way we have played lately, our defence is gonna be taught a harsh lesson.
Jovetic or Dzeko or Kolarov or anyone else. Doesn't really matter if our defence remains as porous as it has done.

I suspect the omission of Jovetic has as much to do with our transfer plans this summer as anythong else

Absolute bollox yourself mate. What, he set a couple up, what other contribution has he given? In fact, he was so out of form that he couldn't even get a start in most of the games and got hauled off at half time in another, or was that due to yet another injury.?

I know you've sang his praises Ted, and me too, but he's better than Aguero or Dzeko (?), you're having a fucking giraffe. Maybe if he could string a few games together then we might see the best of him but seeing as he hasn't then we're not going to get the chance. Fuck, Pellers played a half fit Aguero and Dzeko before he played Jovetic, that's how much faith he has in him.

So, talking shite eh Ted, please tell me why Jovetic deserves a spot infront of players that haven't just turned it on for a game or 2? Yes, we could've dropped somebody like Kolarov or Sagna but that's obviouslsy a tactical decision and with 2 forwards who have PROVED themselves at City, and one that looks as though he has the talent, there was no other in the eyes of the non-Jovetic lickers.

But eh, it's all opinion.

It's probably likely he was dropped cos we know he's not part of future plans, despite what Pellers has said to the press. I don't think there is anyone who can hand on heart say he's fitted in here. Obvious natural talent, but he looks like an outsider. The club probably knows that too and its a way of transfer listing him without actually officially doing it.
