That is a totally different situation. Yaya became the best player in Africa while playing for City, while Silva became a game started for Spain, after he came here, before he was a reserve. And the Aguero situation is different.
The Chimp is actually playing at Real Madrid, different level, huge part in their Champions League campaign last year. If Filth and Chelsea are after him, at the moment we are behind them, if we want to sign him. This will not be a contract problem, but actually he will sign with a team that might offer him the same performances he had with Madrid.
And with all the wankfest about filth, a team that is behind us in every aspect at the moment, he will go there, just because he might think they will rule Europe again, with him and Shrek.
Plus, we failed to sign a top target since Nasri.

I think players will be looking at the clubs vision more than the managers vision really. I'd say we're just as likely to struggle with someone who wants to play for pellegrini because you never know how long the manager will be in the job!
And regarding Yaya, he was playing for Barca and had just won the champions league!

Yes, but he was a squad player, nothing more. Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets were the starters for Barcelona. Actually, if you recall, the reason he left was because he did not have a lot of playing time, maybe 70 games in 4 years. I am not saying the don't want to play under Pellegrini, i am a supporter of him and i will always be, but players in general are not bright people and they will choose Maureen or Louie Van 4th, because they are bigger names than Pellers.
Plus they will look and see Chelsea, current champions, Maureen there, big factor. FIlth, media sweethearts and City, past champions with not that great games in Europe.
The last big target we needed was Hazard. So, we actually failed to sign world class players, we actually got good ones, but they have their limit.
I think our limit as a club is that FTP shit. We really look like the only club that really respects that crap, while everyone is spending a shitload of money (PSG, Chelsea).

yaya won CL finals with Barca. He wasn't some fringe player who barely played. It's like saying Milner is leaving cuz he doesn't play much for City. It's bollocks.
Yaya was arguably in fact their most important player when drafted in at CB in that first final in Rome...he had to contend with an in-form Rooney and the Tranny and they kept a clean sheet iirc.
The idea that Yaya was some bit part player at Barca is untrue. What is true is that he was seeming to fall out of favor as DM where Busquets was preferred for his workrate and engine. Yaya, i believe, saw the writing on the wall that cracking into a more forward midfield position seemed a challenge he wasn't up for. That's the reality.
cheers

He might also think that by being alongside Shrek, he might not seem to be quite so ugly.

His old mucker diMaria is also there who is as ugly as sin as well. That frontline would literally scare the opposition defenders into making mistakes. Throw in Jones's gurning mug and it's not a very pretty XI

I think this deserves more credit than it has received. I like it.
