Sit back V the Rags as they will be doing. I fancy us to create more as they chase the game, Chase it from the off and that will Butthead's perfect game-plan. They are a counter attack team first and only plan.

Yup. Be solid and allow our front men to win the game.

Lucky !

Spurs should have put the tie to bed in the first 20 mins against Anderlecht and could have easily been 3 or 4-0 up.now they are losing 2-1 and having to push for an equaliser.

How the fuck did these beat us. They are shit

Two offside goals helped. Only way Kane can score these days.

They went awful quiet for most of that half. Could here a pin drop after Rubin scored.
Only managed to sing after they equalised.
Rubin could have been two up at that stage. Then their captain gets himself sent off.

They're still dangerous on the break but you'd expect Liverpool to go on to win now.

Was very quiet for most of the second half too. Bad result for Liverpool. Too bad there twelfth man couldn't drag them over the line.
Klopp has his work cut out. Bet he can't wait for the transfer window to open.

Eric Hobsbawm is spinning in his grave.

I fear for young people today. The absolute bullshit they have to filter to get to the truth.

Simply read the BBC report on scousepools game. They ( Beeb) go on about the YNWA song before the match but don't have the balls to call the match as it is.

At least their fans are seeing through the BS.

Playing against 10 men for at least 52 minutes at home they were poor. Still looked poor !

I was going to post on the media thread, but check out the people on Talk shite, their origins, check out who owns the media in Britain. Check out who owns Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U. Chelsea , Aston Villa., Spurs, for example.

You wonder why there is so much animosity to City ?. Even though we are doing everything correctly.

Eric Hobsbawm must be spinning in his grave

With all the talk about the Premier League possibly losing a Champions League spot, one of the main reasons is the underperformance of English teams in the Europa League.

English teams treat the competition with disdain. The strong performance of Spanish teams is a main contributor to their league's high coefficient. Similarly, Italy's improvement is due to their teams taking the Europa League more seriously. The same pattern is happening again this season, allowing Italy to close the gap further.

The loss of a Champions League spot is more a concern for Arsenal than us, but teams like Spurs or Liverpool who aim each year to finish 4th will suffer through their own Europa League underperformance.

I don't think they're arsed and who could blame them. The extra burden compared to the finance gained just makes it not worth the hassle. Earning around £10 mil for getting all the way to the final when they can concentrate on the PL and earn just as much, if not more for the positions they gain from not being in it, who'd want to take the risk.

Other leagues, its worth it, but not the PL.

Right or wrong, you can understand it.

Yes, good point. Because after booking hotels and flights early, I decided I'd like to pay a load of cash for a ticket, so I deliberately set the price high.

It is indeed what ?

Let's see.... I wonder , over the last decade how many threads have been started about away ticket prices and City fans being ripped off ?.

Here are just two possible replies.

1. Well since you have decided to invest so much money in flights and hotels. Let's not forget meals, local travel, heaven forbid beer and other refreshments. The entrance fee is a problem ?

2. Time after time City fans get ripped off . Arsenal for example.

These clubs will always try to rip city fans off because so many want to travel to watch City.

If we all become armchair fans for a few away games perhaps the clubs will take notice .

That was kind of my point. You book early before the travel and hotel prices creep up and you are then committed. We scout about to save 20-30 quid on flights and reasonable hotel rates, but then find Barca have lumped prices up by 400%. Of course it makes a difference, but your hands are tied by then.

Eric Hobsbawm is spinning in his grave.

Don't you take his name in vain!
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Mr Klopp let this sink in mate you were playing at home against a team that so far this season has lost the most games in the Russian league yes that's Russian league not one of the top 5 leagues in European football but yet until their daft captain got himself sent off they were running rings around your team.Massive job for you Mr Klopp do you think you should have waited for the Bayern job now.

Anyone able to find the attendance from the latest "Great European Night at Anfield" last night? For the second European game running I am unable to find it in the British media. Remarkable, isn't it?

As bad as we were in the 1998-99 season, we never such a cowardly club that we felt we had to hide our attendances. I strongly suspect we got more in the third division than them shithouses got last night.

I said it in one of the threads, it looked full on TV. In fairness, there wasn't any empty seats showing. Makes it all the more remarkable how quiet the place went for most of the match.
