I would actually prefer the other English clubs to do well in the CL as well for couple of reasons.
First of all it would keep fixtures piling up for them as well and that might lead to slip ups in the league etc. And it would do world of good for the reputation of English clubs.
Plus I'd fancy our chances better over those two clubs over two legs rather than likes of Barca, Real, Bayern..

Not saying they will win it or anything but Chelsea may well do a lot better in the CL than their prem form suggests.

Feel that the real focus this year is on CL.

So backed us at 16/1 for an outright CL win a couple of months ago.
Expect to get a run for my money (semis maybe?) but not the outright win.

However, if we can get our fab 4 players fit and playing - I think we have a good chance of going all the way.

Re Chelsea - I agree. They could go well in CL. But the 'style' of football won't be pretty - park the bus type stuff.

I really hope MU have a run in the Europa league - if they do - that is any sniff of winning the PL gone for them.

The only possible reasons I can see for us not getting Paris are:

a) the draw is honest. No, no, really. I've heard it can happen.

b) they won't want to give PSG us. Perhaps an easier club, maybe Zenit, for them. Platini's son works for them and they all still love the revolting little toad over at UEFA.

c) they think Kiev is a harder tie with all the travelling for us and the stuff going on over there.
