In light of the latest Kompany set back I think a Central Defender is a must. The difficulty is we need the quality of player plus leadership & organisational abilities.
Add to that it's very rare you can buy top quality players in January then the field is narrowed somewhat.

If we do bring in a central defender that pretty much means Denayer goes in the summer? I'd prefer to just work with the ones we have more as Otter and Mang SHOULD be a decent pairing on paper.

I suspect the only signing may be a Nasri replacement. He's out for ages and will probably be sold in summer.
Otherwise there is no available slot

As much as I love Micah and wish it had worked out with us more than any other player - I've watched him a few times for Villa and he still has the tenancy to switch off and allow his man to disappear. I wouldn't swap Meeks for any of our defenders including the Mang.

I will probably make a fool out of myself for biting here but surely you know today was his first game in December after another injury?
That's exactly why he left cause Zabba forced him into bench but whenever we needed to give Zabba a rest Micah was injured.

Yep. He was never gonna be a top class CB unless he manages to drop that out of his game.
But surely the lads are suggesting of bringing him back as RB? That I would understand if he stayed fit
Love the bloke but I rather keep the good memories

If we're talking about ex-City right backs we've missed the boat with Tripps but he was our best option. can't believe we weren't back in for him in the summer.
I've mentioned it before but my brother was mates with him as a kid and they played for Woodbank in Bury for years before City snapped him up. He was quality even when he was about 7 playing against kids a year older than him!

I see Meeks was at fault for the first Norwich goal as he switched off and let the Norwich player sneak in behind him. And Trippier set up Spurs' winner.

Without a doubt player we should have snapped up. Would have only been a couple mil , club trained and home grown for champions league squad

Nope. Roma signed him permanently after a month or so

Why did we get rid of him and bring Bony in again? The Bony signing reminds me of when we signed Jon Macken.

Macken was better than Bony.
