The only one I really don't like on the French team is Evra. Be nice to see Sanchez make an idiot of Evra if Portugal are to score.

As an aside, Sissoko really looks up for it tonight.

Sanches is 18

Think it was ironic. Plenty of rumours floating around he us older than the official 18.

Why do these rumours only float around about black players?

I did read somewhere that in Africa especially, it is not uncommon for babies to be registered for a birth certificate a year or two after the actual birth and the date of birth is marked down as the date of the registration, thus making the child a year or two younger. Whether there is any truth to that I honestly don't know but it sounded feasible and not beyond the realms of possibility.

Just for the record, I believe the kid is 18 or 19, but his parents split up, his father moved to France to work bringing Renato with him and returned in 2002. The birth was registered then 5 years after his birth date of 1997. So the story goes anyway.

In many nations you can have people live and die without even being registered.

Payet off, Coman on. I really like this lad. Seems to have had good games whenever I've seen Bayern play

Made sense. Payet was quite ineffective tonight.

It would make you wonder if 100 mil is not mad money for someone who is still proving himself.
He is a very strong player but he doesn't control games the way you would expect for that money.

Also I think this tournament for Payet has been a mirror of his PL season. Started off brilliant as if he was going to set the place alight, but has petered out.

Giroud is second rate and showing it.
I do still like the look of Griezed Lightning.

Lovely ball in from Coman there. Griezmann should have at least hit the target.

Dull game it must be said up to now

Thinking the same. Hasnt impressed in this tournament and if i recall correctly he didnt do much in the CL either.
Gimme Griezmann any day.

Tbf to him with Kante going to the bench Pogba has basically become a holding midfielder so its not surprising hes been invisible lately

Time for bed Portugal to win on penalties again in a very average match. Enough of the french only ever singing 'Le Marseillaise' unimaginative wakners
