I couldn't give a flying fuck because he gave it all on the pitch and was a very skilled footballer.
The end.
Tevez: “To see City go from a neighbour team, if you will, to one of the big clubs in Europe, it makes me proud. I am a City fan.”
You think he LOVED the club and the city?
Come on mate.
He had love for neither and couldn't wait to get out.
He did however give his all on the pitch.
Thats ALL that matters.
I think he hates Bob but I think there was some love toward the club mate. When I went on the tour years back the guy said that the club did everything they could for Carlos. They knocked two boxes in to one big one for his family. I genuinely believe his best years were at City and he had some love toward the fans and the club. No saying he adored us or owt.
I think we define love quite differently. I think love is quite a lot stronger feeling than adoring something.
Besides, the guy went golfing for a year and told us to do one. Moaned about the weather and missing his family and couldn't speak english after years in England. BUT when he was on the pitch he gave his absolute everything.
I've always said it, save the fucking badge kissing. Players come and go and it is only us as supporters who stay. I'm sure some will come and play for us for a long time and make their mark and even stay in the area, like Kompany, and maybe we will become second club for them but for 99% of players it's just a job. And then you got people like Edghill who get to fulfill their lifelong dream of playing for the club they support and get blamed for lack of effort.
They are ALL mercenaries. They ALL do it for the money. I don't much care for their fake-affection. I WANT THEM TO PUT FULL EFFORT AND PERFORM ON THE PITCH THOUGH.That's what they are paid astronomical sums for.
