I may be paranoid but there was certainly a little chuckle from Owen when he said 'away'.
Context is important. There were two balls left. Blokey was saying something like "Will City be at home or away?" and Owen drew out a ball, saw that it wasn't #8 and quick as a flash said "Away" and chuckled at the brilliance of his innate Liverpool wit.

Has anyone looked back over the premier league era and done the stats on these draws? Current season looks like a fix and my memory would say the same about previous years, but the stats may not back that up.

I had a quick look back over the last 4 or so seasons and the rags & scum do appear to have had plenty of 3rd, 4th or even lower tier teams. If you have tie on your hands to really go over it then start here and top righ of the page it lets you go back year by year.................

He was smiling all through the draw, I just put it down to him being simple.

if you take away conspiracy theories and bullying phips, a certain poster would have nothing to say....
I've rarely been accused of having nothing to say
But it's hard to take anything you say seriously, considering you think these are the biggest problems facing the club today:
1. Kevin De Bruyne thinks he is David Beckham
2. The players don't love the city enough
You mad cunt

Those are some of his good points PD, but what about his bad ones ??
In being excessively diplomatic, I fear you're being far too overly fair to said creature.

In our local league we have a lower league club that has been in the cup competitions for the past 5 years. For the first four years they drew away games, normally against teams above them. They always lost.
Last year they drew an away leg again but caused a bit of an upset by beating their more fancied opposition. Thinking they'd finally broken their run of bad luck they strode confidently into the next round- where they drew an away game against a top flight team and were promptly thrashed.
Just the luck of the draw.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

Have the Cnuts at the Beeb determined whether we play away on Friday night or Monday night yet ?
Or will they wait to see if Palace win so it will mean a Monday night trip for the fans ?

Come on beefy you should know better
The FA Cup fourth-round ties between Derby County and Leicester City, and Millwall and Watford will be shown live on BBC One.
Premier League champions Leicester will visit Championship Derby on Friday, 27 January at 19:55 GMT.
League One Millwall host Premier League Watford two days later at 12:00 GMT.
That game will be followed on BBC One at 16:00 GMT by either Crystal Palace or Bolton against Manchester City, or Manchester United v Wigan Athletic.
They will choose the rags as usual
