And rightly so. I love Fern, but he does not have the composure or first touch for that role. I hope that Silva and KdB will drop deep to collect the ball from the central defenders, because if Fern's the one to do that, we will be punished.

Don't agree , Fern is faster and can track back faster than YAYA (who rarely tracks back)..Monaco are electric on the break.

Yes, he's better defensively, but he's not even close when it comes to build-up play and helping the defenders out when they are put under pressure. He's simply not that good when receiving the ball facing his own goal, and i think that will show if they press us high. We will look very nervous.

For this game I prefer to see F1 playing. His strengths are vital in this game. IMO if Yaya was playing their speed would cut us open.

Can see the reasons for his inclusion over yaya but he has a tendancy to get caught out/let the ball bounce too far away from him when receiving the ball facing our goal. I think DeBruyne and Silva will need big games and will need to be more box to box mids tonight

He's more mobile than Yaya but Id worry about him being sent off.

Yaya has been caught out just as much as Fern has..the difference with Fern is, anyone gets past him he can get the ball back.....Yaya has lead boots and has zero chance of getting it back..I've said Monaco are electric going forward and we need to be able to track back.
