Kinkladze and Robinho would never get into a Pep side due to lack of workrate
David White
Paul Lake
Sylvain Distin
Eyal Berkovic
Ali Bernarbia

De jong. If any thug tried to bully our creative players, de jong would break him in half. Would be wonderful back up to fernandinho.

I loved de Jong, but I think some of our fans remember him as something he wasn’t. He constantly passed sideways and backwards - and HE chose to leave us as he wouldn’t sign a new contract.

Colin Hendry. Would have made a great skipper in this team and would have worked great with Stonesey beside him IMO

He’d have the work ethic and engine to do the Fernandinho role with goals on top.
He’d be the perfect utility cover player also for numerous positions I would imagine.
Pep would love him.
15 more goals wow can you imagine that. Plus he would destroy pisspoorgba..

I think Kinky was our cheap Dave Silva.
Him. Berkovic was also top.

If we could have had them in their prime:
Ali Bernabia
Patrick Vieira
George Weah
Honourable mentions:
Daniel Van Buyten
Andy Morrison - what the hell would Pep make of him?
Carlos Tevez
Edin Dzeko
Bellers
Goes without saying Bell, Lake, Tuert, Buzzer etc
Have you seen my bongos?

Paul Warhurst - a great Stockport allrounder who never got a chance in our first team!

Paul Lake.......competition for KDB. I think Bish would fit in well too. Version one of SWP would be exciting in that forward line.

Michael Johnson without injury, be good to watch what Pep could make of him.

It would be interesting to see what Pep would do with Andy May or Tommy Caton's hair ....

Not sure he was a Pep Player but actually I wonder how many players would change their attitude to play in his team.
Nicolas Anelka would probably not put the shifts in that Pep demands now but that lad could find the net!

Agreed, bar Aguero, he's the best striker I've ever seen in a City shirt

Definitely maybe but he's too maverick for Guardiola, he wouldn't follow instruction, it's the reason he couldn't hold down a place in the rags XI and why he clashed with Mancini.

That was the point I was making about Anelka - part of what made them both what they were was their approach. But it seems difficult characters have been moved on by Pep if they didn't conform to his model quickly.

I think Uwe would have had the workrate and intelligence for this current system.
