I'm 74 and have supported the blues since 1956. It has always been my experience that the tiny town of Burnley, ( some 40,000 in the 1970s I believe) invariably had City as their second team. Always friendly folks in the 60s and 70s when I was there... before life and jobs took me south.
Has it really changed that much?

My experience is similar to yours, harveytravis. A mate at school was a Burnley fan and City were his second team. Good lad was Shaun. I went with him to Turf Moor a few times when I couldn't get to City away. We used to stand on that end behind the goal and the locals were always alright, even though they knew I was a Blue and not a Claret. I have no animosity at all towards them and most weeks I would want them to do well, as I do with all the local teams my mates support (Preston, Bury, Bolton, Rochdale etc) but fuckin come on, City.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Can’t see why it wouldn’t be allowed.

That cannot be true as it would be against the integrity of the game. Its not as if they are his mates, fuck, he probably doesn't know who half of the are.

Typical Dipper tactics, overhand and against the best interests of the game.

Good to hear Barnes say that though, even if not true as it will wind the Dippers up no end if he misses a chance; own goal, maybe?

Nervous about this one.
Then again, I’ve be been like that for every game in the last month or so.

C’mon City. Get it done.

As none has been posted, and as the teams are due, changed the thread from Pre-match to Match thread.

Come on the Blues!!!

As much as I desire us to win this our own way it would be the icing on the cake if this was looked into and handled quickly and they were deducted six points.

Come on City. Quick out the blocks and get this put to bed in first half.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

If that's true about Klopp texting the players, I'd question if he's text players before asking for them to throw matches. It works both ways.

If it’s true, it just shows what a lying sack of shit he is - always harping on about how he doesn’t care what we do he doesn’t worry about our results etc etc etc

He’s shitting his fucking pants , as are every thieving dipper in dipperland.

Slightly surprised he’s gone for Kompany rather than Otamendi. Otherwise predictable. A blow that Fernandinho isn’t fit but we’ll just have to make do. Come on City!

Would have put Otter in instead of Komps, two games in four days is a but much for him - but can't really complain.

He's probably hoping Burnley don't have anybody quick like Rashford. More traditional great lump centre forward
