FA cup 5th round games

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

All the talk of Liverpool winning 4 major trophies at the start of the season is now fizzling out to a chance of the CL and VAR’d PL title.

English trebles seem not to be there thing.

Ps. Enjoyed that and thought it was very fair officiating. I’ve seen them officiated fairly in there’re last 4 games, why wasn’t it like this every game?

Weren’t they supposed to be winning 7 trophies at start of season?

I’m enjoying them losing though.

Nonsense, he played a strong side, they'll have you believe they didn't care. Make no mistake this defeat will knock their confidence. Two defeats in a row and could potentially be 3 if things don't go their way. Its a shame we aren't close enough to the fyckers to pounce on it in the league

They only have one strong side and that’s those they’ve played week in and week out. Don’t get me wrong, now they were here they would want to win, but not at the expense of the 1st team. They played their second team with a sprinkling of 1st team and youth with a hope of getting through, not an expectation.

It’s all about the money and that means putting everything into getting as far as possible in the CL. They don’t care about the ‘Disrespect’ thing as they have the media in their pockets/wallets, it’s only us who get tagged with that comment, as evidenced by their previous rounds.

Something has definitely changed. I’m very much the one that PiGMOL take their direction from the PL on behalf of keeping the brand strong so could well believe the theory. It could also be, in part, down to IFAB putting pressure on them to come into line with their regulations for VAR. The PL hung out for long enough to make sure the season was shut-out.

Just for clarity, before this game Chelsea had won 1 in their last 4, same as Liverpool, and they’ve said Chelsea have been poor whilst they’ve said It’s a blip for Liverpool who will be back.

Got to say that I thought Chelsea were average at best. Giroud, Mason Mount, Barkley etc. really aren't any more than average players, yet they weren't really troubled one bit by the bin dipping cunts. Something really doesn't ring true here.

I hope he puts a team out there that ensures we have a fighting chance whilst leeping a watching eye on the game on Sunday. The Derby is important in the big scheme of things, getting one over our main detractors in Europe and the PL would be a huge shot in the arm for all of us. The fact that a win would really stifle their Top 4 challenge cannot be underestimated.

I was talking to a colleague today (Norwich supporter) and we came to the conclusion that the officiating had changed for the Dippers to a level playing field. It is the energy levels that are very obvious with Liverpool not getting forward like they usually do. The question was, was it because the opposition had closed their lines off or was it because they were now feeling the pace, especially now they’re not getting away with everything?

The PL's agenda with the Dippers was beginning to cause problems for them.
Awkward questions were beginning to surface re the VAR decisions, the ref's decisions (no red cards, soft penalties, etc...), the sustained energy levels, etc...
Liverpool were 'getting the breaks' every week. It was plain to see that they were no way near as good as their points total. It was becoming hard to explain away.
The PL title is in the bag so PL have rowed back and now we are seeing the results that the Dippers would have got with a level playing field.
Mind you the PL may still ensure that they break our record for points in a season, they have plenty of wriggle room with that.
The Dippers can drop 8 points in 10 games and finish on 101 points (because they were 'getting the breaks' !!!!!!

What I find interesting is the remarkable drop in their energy levels.
It looks like the ingredients for 'Klopp's magic elixir', his isotonic beverage are no longer available.

Makes me wonder what is actually going on?

i'm having trouble seeing where Scousepool are going to get Seven Trophies this season . The Beeb thought they were a shoe-in for Seven in August .

Even on their winning streak until last weekend , Scousepool continuously lost possession and their passing was poor . They are a long ball team that got lucky . They must sell Salah this summer because he is finished . He's dropped back to the level he had at Basel.

Somebody must have something on them. I simply don't understand hoe Robertson gets away with his thuggery.

Even the latest Paddy Power advert I heard on the radio implies that VAR decisions always go the dippers way. Can't remember the exact wording but you have to laugh.

Just watched the highlights again of Chelsea v dippers, it should have been five, Pedro should score one on one Giroud hit bar twice, Adrian actually did well to keep score down.

Did anyone contacted the city of Liverpool today? Are they ok?

Heard that the salt in the water went really up.
