Aguero has been out for about 6 years mate. You can’t genuinely believe that injuries have contributed to his fuck ups? They’re basic school boy stuff - it’s similar to Pogba, they’re both average players that have lived off one decent season.

Of course it does, pre injury Mendy was never getting out paced by Neto.

It doesn't excuse the errors though, but I'm not having that Traore shoulder barging Mendy in the back was an error, foul all day long.

All pre-injury:

38 seconds - Mendy caught in no mans land forcing the City player to make a foul on the edge of our area

1:30 - Mendy again caught completely out of position leaving Salah a free run at goal

1:36 - absolutely rinsed my Mane and Mendy tries to pull him back

2:34 - Mendy goes for the ball, kisses completely and now leaves Salah a free run at goal

4:03 - Mendy way out of position, manages to recover and make a tackle

4:08 - Attacker gets in front of Mendy and Mendy has lost him

In the interest of fairness he also got one assist in this match.

Imagine a Guardiola fullback being caught out of position, never thought I'd see the day.

Walker seems to deal with it okay. You could probably could now many times Walker has been caught out in 3 years on both hands. Mendy was caught out SIX times in one match pre-injury.

So nothing I’ve said above is incorrect. You can count how many times Walker has been caught out of position on both hands in 3 season. Six times in one game for Mendy.

FIBD just doesn't want any justification to get rid of his Mendy duvet cover and so will defend him as best he can.

On current form Mendy shouldn't be in the first team, I'd be reluctant to stick him in cup runs nevermind big games. Whether injuries or lost form it's irrelevant, he's a liability as it stands. We need to solidify our backline, can't afford to carry him, it will unsettle the defence. He's not delivering going forward or defending. Do you really want to keep playing him until he rediscovers his form (did he ever have one)? What if he doesn't improve, have you thought of the consequences? We need to improve soon if we are to challenge for the title, we can't afford to carry water carriers

No you can't mate, he's caught out quite often, unless he's playing inverted.

I've already said I don't think he's good enough for us going forward, we need a better option there but I'll defend him against some of the ott nonsense that's spouted on here.
