The warnong was that it could be harmful to players to continue over a 3rd season.
Like all rumours, I have no idea of the veracity if that rumour but looking at current events, the amount of energy needed to keep up to the pace of their quick high pressing game...& L'pool's seemingly current lack of it. Who knows?????

Liverpool and Dortmund both teams under Klopp have gone from fitter faster to excuse after excuse. Did both overhaul the back room. I know we lost medical staff to them. Klopp looks a one trick pony with some advantages?

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51883618 (doctor who worked for us and Bury suspended because of things that happened at Bury while he was also working for us)

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/284 ... n-concerns (Mahrez incident, that I thought was mentioned in the articles, but I can't see it now - although this wasn't anything to do with City, and we seemingly did everything in our power to confirm he wasn't doping. Interesting to see that it's why Sane played in the Charity Shield and got injured, meaning the Bayern deal fell through)

Ahh can’t believe I missed that. I seem to remember Nasri doing something as well but not sure it was whilst with us

Nasri was under contract with us, but on loan to Sevilla. However, he was only caught because he put pics of him taking his 'nutrient drip' on social media.

And don't forget Kolo Toure, too.
