Nah their not......the ones that ''bang their fists before every game, calling every team selection'' were the same PASSIONATE VOCAL fans ones who stood next to me in the Kippax and at away games at Maccelsfield .

Letting the Munchens beat us was never nice back then and is even fuckign worse now (obviously not for you) regardless of winning the prem or not.

Sorry Stupot but you have no idea of the same arrogance we suddered from the ragsin those years between the Trautmann final and the Mercer/Allison years.
To make it far worse was their 2 consecutive 1st Div Championships, followed by 2 (losing) appearances in the FA Cup final.
The tragedy of Munich gave them a massive sympathy vote from just about everyone.
And as the 60s went on, they had the likes of Law, Charlton and Best. It was best who became the 1st football player who became a national cool, trendy figure, fashionmodel, El Beatle, seen out with Miss Worlds and TV stars.

We were either ignored or became the target for the piss take and we had no answer. My 1st trip to the swamp for a derby saw Trautmann beaten 5 times in a 1-5 demolition.
And please don't forget that while they had the noisy singing chanting Stretford End, I can remember watching City play against a Tony Book led Plymouth Argyle from an almost empty Platt Lane End.

I have followed City since 1956, and it was those early years that embedded a deep deep deepdisgust of all things red. To cement the point mate, Almost 71yrs and I still totaly refuse to wear any ite. of clothing containing red.
(underpants are permissable, just in case I shit myself.

Sunday was no different. I am usually a gentle soul but not after a derby loss.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

Explain how it’s worse. I hate the CUNTS. But spend so much time now either. Ignoring them, laughing at them or more often than not just ripping the piss out of them. Covid has created a group chat 60 lads maybe more, many rags on it, not a fucking peep out of many of them, why that is ? I have asked them, nothing back. I get the loss ruins the evening and I ignore all rag outlets SKY etc. For me who was at Macc Halifax and Shrewsbury. O( and 0-1 v Bury at home FFS with Warnock doing a David Pleat ! I get over defeats easily now, I think it comes in the comfort we are in the mix and not the shit! now and forever. The club do not dwell on wins why dwell on a defeat. 24 hours bragging rights albeit great, no trophies for that. Fulham is all that matters.

It’s worse now Hazy, because when we lost to them then we were expecting to lose. But even when we lost it wasn’t through crap tactics - we just weren’t good enough. Now it’s ridiculous that our team loses to them three times in a row at home!!

When I first got in to football as a kid, I waited 13 years before I saw my team beat them. It was the most important thing in the world to beat them.

People saying “now the roles are reversed” are talking shit. They’re still in two cups and second in the league. We were never in that position. This “ah well at least we’ll win the league” is typical of rags back then saying “doesn’t matter, Liverpool are our main rivals now”

As much as losing to them is bad, that was when we had 1 big home game, them. Now every game we play is covered worldwide. The term Manchester was a reference to them. I just feel we operate in a different world now. Clinging onto what it was like. Is why some fans don’t get Pep, the owners are the same as Pep, Respect the past but embrace the now. I hate them always will but they now mean 0 in the bigger picture. No offence intended, but the rag fans know it’s come above us you win the league. Unbelievable eh.

I was trying to get this through to StuPot as well - just because we win the league it automatically doesn’t mean we lose to the rags. We can win both!

I quit cubs scouts when I was about 7 or 8 because they wanted me to play in the football team, I flat refused because they wore red tops, white shorts and black socks. I told them to do one and quit cubs altogether because of it.

I've never owned a piece of red clothing in my life and never will.

Spurs in trouble in Zagreb ET 2-2 destined for pens. Tarquins lost at home but through.
Scum in the San Siro could be fun - starts in 5 mins - 0-0 would see them out.

This will be good news for the lass in the office if he gets sacked. It will mean she will start attending matches again when we are allowed. She's a st holder who stopped going when Maureen got appointed.
