Very strong rumours that Pep wants promote 17yr old current U23 DM Romeo Lavia to first team squad

Fernandinho as his mentor, what a great chance for him.

I think from what I remember, we bought him last summer specifically to replace Fern. He had a class debut season by all accounts.

Looking at it, he came through Anderlecht academy as a boy, joined our U18 last summer and got pushed straight up to U23 within a very short time. Physically looks like a DM who won't take no shit. Secondary position...... CB, sounds very familiar.

I remember him coming but hadn't followed his progress. Sounds like there is a plan which is great to hear. I thought Doyle may have got a shot at it as well

He deserves to be in the first team just for his name.

Will be interesting to see how he handles Zaha, hopefully he will tell the fucker to man up or fuck off.

Paddy V will certainly be more of an attraction to new signings than Woy was.

How did he get on in France after NYCFC, anyone been keeping tabs?

He was sacked from Nice because of poor results.

Harsh, but was what I was going to type!!

Exposure in the PL for gim but not convinced the set-up is there for him. As someone has said, expect Zaha to get an ear-bashing if nothing else

To be really honest , like Kean , as a player he got away with loads of crap. I have never really cared too much about him. Some players need to go away after their careers are over and buy a public house .
