Football at the top level as a sport that competes fairly is an illusion...Quite simply, it doesn't exist.

I stopped listening to pundits, usually turn the match commentary off and totally ignore the written media....the only way forward to keep what's left of my sanity and keep control of my anger.
My love of football went a long time ago and I believe that what we see is the only reality set by those who control the game for their own gain.

I retain my love and support for City because; judging by the actions of those who control the game and those in the media who saturate the sheeple with their incessant brainwashing and seem to operate to destroy my club, that we obviously reside outside that global cartel.
My pleasure following and watching City is not just the quality of our football, nor that we win most of our games and win titles but that whenever we do, we are beating the system imposed of our game by those who have stolen it from the people.

City winning the CL or Prem this season, or any of the recent seasons since we were bought by our owners and became a threat to the system, is not simply beating the Dippers, Chavs, Tarquins or rags domestically, or overcoming Bayern, Real, Barca or PSG etc in the CL. It is also City beating the system and showing that whatever they do or have done to stop us, we have overcome them.

Should we beat the Dippers in the CL final, we will have beaten notjust the dippers but the whole rotten system hell bent at stopping us.

Absolutely spot on as usual John you have summed up my opening post with accuracy if the dippers do the unthinkable thats me done will concentrate on match angling for the rest of my days

That would be very sad Bear Mate.
Don't forget that football is healthy, flourishing and largely unchanged in its essence from the game that we played and dreamt about as kids.
It is largely the same game that our fathers and grandfathers followed with their passions and heroes.
It's the game we played as kids and dreamt of being Trautmann, Colin Bell, The Goat, and its the same game game where our kids and grandikids can believe that they're Foden or KBD.
It's the same game that gives us a bigger and longer term thrill than any ride at Alton Towers or Blackpool Pleasure Beach. It makes us laugh, it makes us destraught, it makes us angry, it takes us to paradise and it drops us to hell.
That is football and the above can only happen via that emotional umbilicalcord that attaches us to City.

No mate, I'm sorry but it's not something you can give up, it won't let you. You can sit by the peaceful riverside all you want but there, nagging in your head will be the wondering what the score was, did we win again and by how many? You have little choice mate. You didn't choose City, nor did I. City chose us and we can only leave when City allows it.

In the meantime mate, like the rest of us you will remain addicted to your beloved City. and you will continue to love it, hate it, laugh, cheer, cry and journey through all those emotions that City take you through

What I find hilarious about all of this shite is that; from the "Not in my lifetime" comment from Taggart, which at the time he must have totally brlieved was true. The old corrupt order has thrown just about everything at us that they could possibly think of....AAAANNNND THEY HAVE FAILED TO STOP US.

The FFP was designed to stop City's rise and limit our resources. We were found guilty of failing it, only to later find out that we hadn't and UEFA were forced to pay a considerable amount back to us to stop us taking legal action against them.
Domestically, the rags and Arse demanded and got a Prem FFP to limit us and further they demanded that we were investigated. That didn't work out for them either.
Wenger publically demanded that all Prem clubs refused to sell players to us. We have seen the results of that scheme in action to our amusement with the rags buying up anyone who seems to have been linked with us. And that turned out more than a bit messy for the rags, spending many £Ms in order to keep imploding.
They got UEFA to investigate, find us guilty and ban us for 2yrs. That worked out well for them didn't it? CAS exonerated us and made them all look the fools they are.
The human slug; Mr Teabag tried to rip into us from Spain, blaming us for just about everything he could think of. While the jewels in his own crown Real and particulary Barca imploded both on the field and financially. Both having to pay huge sums back to the Spanish Govt for tax reasons.

It's not just funny...it's fukking hilarious.....and all the time. we have strengthened on the field and risen commercially.

At the outset, our owners told us that they had a 15yr project to dominate football. From the point where we started, it seemed an impossible dream beyond dreams. The sort of daft promise given by new owners of down and out teams in League 2, when they tell their dwindled fan bases that their aim is the CL. Mention those promises to fans of Bury and Oldham. ForCity it seemed a ridiculous never to be achieved dream.
Well as it stands, City are not really that far away from achieving it.

The media can say whatever they like.....it does not nor can not change the reality. They really have very little to ram down anyone's throat.

Top post John mate all true they really don’t like to see us succeed I wonder if Newcastle will now get the same treatment that we have had to endure from the bent organisations and the gutter media.
