Tierney has always looked a good shout but seems to struggle with injuries or has at arsenal.

Tierney is very injury prone. Id rather go for Aaron
hickey, the young scottish left back at bologna linked with 18m pound move to napoli. He would be perfect

Good shout.
That is something I don't understand, why do we never try and bring players like that?

Keep mahrez, we arent at the luxury of letting good players go

Well, I think this photo tells us something, either somebody is reverting to 33 or on their way out...

Hes class with the ball at his feet. He could genuinely contest ederson in a few years. Just need to see what hes like under pressure and when we has relatively little to do. With Ireland he makes a lot of class saves and can play it out easy with his feet but we get bombarded most games so whats he like with one shot a game. Whats he like in high profile games with the world watching and titles at stake and huge expectations. If he passes those tests boy do we have a keeper on our hands here.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meanwhile Alvarez scores 6 in one game. Surely that's impossible.

I think this season it really depends on what we get offered.

We’ve lost fern and while he’s been gone an age Mendy also keeps dry us short a Lb. We’ve been short a striker since Aguero went. This all adds up to us needing to bring in without having to send out at the same pace.

I’m sure if we get a great offer for players who don’t play every single big game, we’ll listen, but if not I don’t think we’re desperate to push anyone out the door.
Tracking back is overrated.

As it stands we need one to leave to make room for Fern's replacement (leaving Bendy out if it.)

Do we? Fern’s replacement will replace fern. Haaland replace torress. Alvarez the hole from Aguero(that kane would have filled) and then mendy can be replaced by whoever. Or squad is really small compared to most other teams.

We're allowed 17 free list players + 4 Home Trained + 4 Club Trained over 21. Only Foden qualifies in the last category with the other three places currently unfilled so 21 places available (4 Home Trained first):

1) Carson, 2) Grealish, 3) Walker, 4) Stones, - Free List - 5) Sterling (HG), 6) Ake (HG), 7) Steffen, 8) Ederson, 9) Cancelo, 10) Zinchenko, 11) Mendy, 12) Dias, 13) Laporte, 14) Rodri, 15) Gundogan, 16) Bernardo, 17) De Bruyne, 18) Mahrez, 19) Haaland, 20) Alvarez, 21) Jesus

One has to go for a new LB (presumably Mendy) & another to create a place to replace Fern unless we use Academy players in the senior squad.

Sell Steffen, keep Trafford + Carson and there’s your space for a left back. I have never understood why we have a foreign number two goalie.

I think Trafford will go and the Portsmouth loaner will come in. Steffen might be liked by his teammates but he’s not good enough, even for a backup.
