Brilliant if true.

1. Because we get the worlds best manager for a few more years

2. There’s absolutely no other decent managers out there that are available

in all seriousness, i think we could only look to call Roberto back . At least he realises you have to build with young players . However , i think that might be a long way off .

The world never stops spinning.

We will now be allowed to win the CL.
Why? Money talks.
Haaland is the commercial game changer. Haaland and Mbappe are the Messi/Ronaldo replacements. UEFA need them in the shop window to maximize revenues.
The shop window is the CL.
Watch the refs decisions in our CL matches this season. I am certain there will be no repeat of former CL matches, for ex, Liverpool, Spurs, despicable Athi last year and few Casemiro moments.

The CL is a corrupt competition (for ex, Chelsea Vs. Barca 2009). Always has been. It is all about money, politics and power. We represent all three now. We are box office with a growing global fan base, accelerated by Haaland's arrival.

We will be allowed to win it now. And we probably will.

Genuine question, what did Uefa do to stop us in the final against Chelsea?

They didn't have to do anything to stop us in the final mate.

Pep's greatest fuck up already looked after that.

UEFA haven't stopped us the last 2 seasons to be honest.
If Haaland was in the team against RM then we'd have been 4 up at home in the first 20 minutes

Spot on. Missed chances, Laporte jumping with his arm in the air, Fern being put at RB against a nippy winger, Dias diving in.

Exactly.

But pretty much every other season I can think of was blatant corruption, so the OP has a very valid point.

The last two seasons we’ve been allowed to compete fairly. So the “maybe we’ll be allowed to win the CL now” has already been answered two seasons ago.

I don't agree with that.

I thought the officiating against both Madrid teams stank to high heaven.

I agree, though "clear and organised" would be the phrase I would use.

Which decisions did you both disagree with against Real?

Casemiro could have been sent off about 3 times with consistent fouling

Did that cost us the tie? Is that proof of corruption

I think you’re twisting my words mate, because you can obviously read.

We’ve clearly had corruption. Not just in the CL but in the Prem as well. But in our last two CL campaigns there’s not been any clear corruption. Our losses were on us.

Ufa paid off Pep to start Sterling and drop DMs in the final.

Corruption exists, our last two campaigns is on us.

We had bias refs 100% we did but you are 100% right - our losses in the last 2 CL was down to pep and the players .

Sterling (the worst performing player in our side that year ) should never have played against Chelsea and pep put him in and completely fucked up a previous winning side to accommodate that little shit head and we lost our best chance of ever winning it - fuckall to do with the refs .

Last season was the players fault and not peps - Laporte the main culprit.

Previous CL years failures was mainly down to the refs corruption - it was blatantly obvious as well but they eventually calmed down when it also became obvious we were going nowhere but up .

I certainly can read mate.

And I quoted what you typed.

If you think the officiating last season against both Madrid teams was any better than pretty much every other season , then we'll have to agree to disagree.

The only season I believe there was anything close to a level playing field was when we lost the final.

It's hardly evidence that we no longer need to worry about uefa not wanting us to win. Ffs every move they make is against us.

Hopefully this season we'll be that good it won't matter. But that good has never been done before.

The way I see it is:

1. Initial phase. Games against Liverpool and Spurs. Blatant shafting. Enough said.
2. Middle phase. Last two seasons. No blatant shafting but no favors either.
Chelsea game down to team selection but no red for Rudiger and no penalty for hand ball early 2nd half? Last year, we should have buried Real but Athi were allowed to kick us to pieces, so was Casemiro in 2nd leg. Compare with Liverpool vs. Athi. In both legs Athi had a player sent of and Liverpool got a yellow for a blatant red.
In summary, not shafted but no favors either.
3. Next phase. We will start to get favors. It benefits UEFA to keep us involved. We have become to big to ignore. The Haaland effect is immense. Radio programs were 80% content was about Liverpool and MU are now talking about City. They have to, it is not by choice. The younger audience follow players now not just clubs. With Haaland, Pep, DeBruyne, Foden and our success, we are a magnet for them and their cash. UEFA are all about the money. I expect to see that reflected on the pitch via the men in black.
FA to do with football.

Time will tell.
