Just me, or did the corner go out of play before it was headed in?

Decent header to be fair, even though the marking was non existent

Palmer looked good for the first five minutes and has faded out of the game since. Mahrez is a shadow of last season’s player

In theory it draws two opposition defenders out for the sake of foregoing one of ours giving us a better chance go score in the box. If two dont come out you go 2 v 1 at the corner. I dont understand why evry team doesn’t do this. It should be the default way to take a !

When it's kdb and foden kdb always takes it. When Foden and Grealish always Foden. No one with any sense needs be drawn out

If defender doesnt come out you play it short and go 2 v 1. In theory of course. Peps barca were the first team I noticed to do this for every single corner
derby day the scores were level,

Free header for the biggest bloke on the pitch, watched by the two smallest players on the pitch. Laughable. Except it's not funny, it's fucking shit.

Good chance to see how Lewis and Palmer do with a start for me, so yes :)

Also very eager to see Alvarez get a couple of games under his belt. He's started well so far.

We’re not looking too bad considering, better than I thought, just without the goals.

Big time Angelino vibes about Gomez. Runs like a ferret, cracking left foot, puts in tons of effort but just not good enough. Sort of player who would become a legend at a club like Sheffield United.

Stating the obvious but not direct enough, only one shot on target, you could program a robot to mark Mahrez, same thing all the time, stop, cut inside pass back, only once did he run and cross and it cause trouble. Overall with all the changes some good points, dead rubber after all.

Soft goal, same problem breaking a decent defence down .Alarez might as well go for a pint gor all the service he's getting. Mahrez for once in your life go outside or get Palmer to go on outside. No real width to our team since Walker was injured

Palmer needs to do more. And terrible service to Alvarez, he's making the runs but zero ball to him.

Alvarez has made loads of good runs off the shoulder but not once has anybody attempted a through ball. That's something we've missed a lot since David Silva left.

He’s a right winger being played at LB. Not sure why we bought him when we have a proper LB in Josh WE that’s looked good when given his chance.
