Can anyone name one example where Milner has come off the bench and won us a game?
The mythology around this guy is outstanding

Hull! He was brought on in the 66th minute and saved our bacon with a wonderful freekick
Villa, he came on in the second half and acted like a dummy over the ball to allow Kolarov to rocket the free kick in! :-)

Kolarov was always going to score that whether Milner was there or not.

100% underated.

We will miss him and we 100% need some signings that will put the work in or we will be even lazier next year.

my sole issue is WHY hasn't he signed an extension at the start of the year, agreed with city, we sell him to Liverpool for X amount? Swap for Sterling?

Why are we being fucked over?

Fernando signed an extension at Porto PURELY so that we got charged more money!

Theres a chance De Bruyne will sign a deal and still move in the shrot term.

Do you think we should get Vassell back? He worked his nads off.

do you think a team full of yaya toure's/ galacticos would win us the league?

Fans that think Milner is shit because he's English and has a good attitude annoy me. He is also a good footballer; as his goal the other week shows.

Just like the bloke that said 'yaya isn't supposed to make a tackle, hes an attacking midfielder' ...when he was playing in a midfield 2 with Fernie and Lampard was the advanced midfielder...

If he wants to leave, then so be it. we've played him a lot this season and he seems to be moving the goalposts. Swapping City for Liverpool is a step down, regardless of his worries about future playing time.

Saying that, he has been taken the piss out of in the sense that he has been left out of many of our major games and also been left out after helping us to a draw or win the previous week.

PS The Vass was quality

The 'underrated' tag has been thrown about so often now with Milner, that he's suddenly become overrated.

Fine player with a great attitude and work ethic, but certainly neither a world-beater, nor vital to our future. Should we fall apart without him, we'll have to take a hard look at our remaining staff, instead of pinning our success on Milner.

But he also produced this piece of magic. We have had Yaya, Balo, Silva, Ageurro Tevez in our team but none of their tricks have come close to this

Knew this was on the cards from Feb, were the bookies running odds on this? As can't help but think we've missed out on a few quid.

Thanks for your hard work, but a part of me thinks F you then after we've been singing 'we want you to stay' at every game since Jan.

Step down mate, surely.

He's gone so thanks & goodbye, we'll just upgrade. What ever they all say, he was never more than a good squad player who had a few decent games.

Think he knows his limitations and realistically wouldn't get a lot of game time IF we got any 2 from Pogba, De Bruyne, Isco & Reus + a DM we may be after, to add to Silva, Toure, Nasri, Fernandinho, Navas, Fernando we've already got. I know some of them are no better than him, but even if we played a 5 man midfield, you'd start with whichever 2 if we get them, Silva without question, probably Toure & then 1 other from the rest.

It's a backward step for him as I'd be surprised if he'll ever win anymore silverware

Really don't understand this, but it is his decision.

He will earn less and will win less than here.

Bit of a shame but he's honoured his contract. No issues from me and I'll eagerly await his replacement.

I always liked James and am sad to see him go. But I understand his decision and respect it for him.
Hopefully we will get a good or preferably even better replacement in.
