Shaw also broke his leg apparently. Not wishing that upon anyone but that's not good news.

We are just cursed in this competition.

DIdnt understand why we signed him at the time and nothing so far has made me think differently that is Bony good enough to lead the line for us. Kelechi would have done more than him tonight.

They had good spells in the game and i'd say a draw would have been a fair outcome. But it's hard not to admire them as they played the game to perfection, maximised their strengths, protected their weaknesses

Fair points, they were tactically better and soaked it up.

That's what pisses me off.

Sevilla won 3-0 as well. A win in Germany is a must.

Some of their players were just running through our midfield while their players were always tracking back. For some reason, their players seemed physically fitter than ours.

I am sick of the pass, pass, pass bullshit. It's time to admit that Nasri is just not good enough for this level, or atleast doesn't show it. Bony, Sterling, Nasri looked like nervous kids.

Our full backs are another area where we are poor. Both look solid in the PL, but their lack of close control and their one footedness is exposed badly by the pressing of CL teams. I worry what will happen against Sevilla, because they press even better than Juve.

Also sick of Pellers lack of changes. This problem has persisted since that Bayern game where we lost 3-1.

LOL.
Let's first dream about winning the group one day. at this rate I think we will manage to do that 2022.

Early days, sure, but we may have to win in Turin to have a chance at winning the group.

We just helped Juve's season take a turn tonight.

Admittedly I've had six pints and nothing to eat but at this level Bony has offered absolutely no goal threat, I'm not sure what Nasri's contribution was and Sterling cannot keep squandering one on ones! Added to that if our captain is going to leave he field with fifteen minutes left it should be on a stretcher! Juventus offered nothing tonight and have waltzed off with three points.

This has a feel of last season. Nativity may cost us and see us scrape through to a harder draw.

Personally I think we will still top the group but tonight leaves that nagging feeling that it could be the same as last season, or worse.

It is worse than last season because we've strengthened considerably.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Nasri no drive just slows game down and let's defenders get back in position would have preferred to see navas on for him.
Silva can only suspect was still feeling the injury he had at weekend, never seen him give the ball away so often and missed great chance following up from sterling chance to make it 2-0.
Sterling two great chances and doesn't take either difference between win and loss. Hopefully bit of confidence will come with experience in front of goal.
Bony isolated didn't offer much but to be fair, one lovely turn and then slashed shot. Doesn't look as composed as he did for Swansea.
Mangala I thought was very poor on first goal, doesn't seem to be looking at their forward for a second and that's all it took.
Different season same shite in Europe tap tap slow slow and nieve going forward.
Hopefully we can pick it up against West Ham at the weekend. I fucking hate the champions league.

They did everything right. Quickly onto Yaya everytime the ball was played to him. Two or three at times onto Silva and Sterling everytime. They stifled any creativity we might have. The passing went to shit. We got caught in possession to often.
Whether we like it or not, 9 times out of 10 our goal would be given as a free out. We got a break there, but didn't take our chances to put the game to bed.
They had enough quality to punish us with very few chances.
They worked their socks off. It's hard to deny them their win, even if we did hand it to them.
