Would I have liked him too stay, yes. Am I overly bothered he's gone, no. He is a very clever self publicist as he is now moving to his 5th club with no doubt another big signing on fee, but because he "put in a shift" he will never be labelled as a bit of a money chasing mercenary, which he so obviously is.

Im sure if it was just money we would of won that battle.

Read this.

Sorry to see Milner leave but let's get some facts about his departure. Firstly Milner was offered a 3 year deal by City worth 'up to' 165k a week. That's not 165k basic, more like 125k basic plus bonus, which is in line with most of the City team. Even if he realised his 165k every week that's about 26 million over 3 years, if he's signed a 4 year deal at Anfield at 120k a week, that's about 25 million over a 4 year period. Plus of course, Milner will be receiving a substantial signing on fee from Liverpool which will probably take his contract upwards of 30 million. But hey, it's not about the money for James, it's about forming a midfield trio of Henderson, Milner and Allen, scary!

Heard the same Ted, CL Final out of the way !

If this was his reason, why didnt he sign 12 months ago when one was on the table? This is just clutching at straws, Pogba wasn't a serious target 12 months ago.

He has been a solid pro for us . Never really thrown his toys out of the pram. Always played where needed . And according to Pellers he has big balls so no need to kick him in them now . Good luck to him . I just wish it wasnt the Dippers .

everybody is saying he was good pro, didnt act the cunt etc etc, i am sorry but he was paid to act like a professional. he cost more than silva and yaya, yet he walks for free....if the boot was on the other foot and we were looking for him, he would have signed a 4 year contract 12 months ago, ensuring a fee. less of the sucking up.

they are not the rules, you sing a contract for a given length and if you see that contract out to the end, both parties have no quarrel.
No problem with him being a free transfer, who said he had to sign so we get a fee, thats just bollox

So boyata, Milner and lampard out of the squad must leave us with some plans which include home grown players either coming in or promoted from the EDS but doesn't seem overly obvious as to who in each case apart from potentially Stirling and deynar

The thing is Carl, he isn't that sort of midfielder that takes the game by the scruff of the neck, like merlin or Yaya can do. He will suffer at scouse2. He is not a midfield player you build your team around.

I do not disagree mate , I quoted the above as some fans say it snot just about money , well it is always about the fucking money imo...he will make more with signing for the bindippers as he would have done with us.

And yes , without world class players making him look better he will indeed struggle.........anyway , fuck it , I have nothing against him other than not happy about him leading on some blues fans in a "will he wont he" sign over the last 12 months..........when it was as clear as day (To me anyway) that the cunt was going as soon as the fuckign genius job was safe in dipper land.

This is what the bindippers are getting for 150 k per week that they are paying him.

Man City paid £26m for Milner, and this is what they got for that money:

* 19 goals/45 assists in 203 games.

* Goal every 11 games | Assist every 4.5 games.

Good luck on improving on that shite.
