Well said Douglas. For those who don't think we got ripped to shreds or that the manager isn't naïve, I suggest you consider the number of point blank saves Joe made and bad misses.from the oppo when clean through. In his post match interview Pellers said "we knew how fast and dangerous through the midfield BM can be". He may as well have added "but we all had our fingers crossed"Anyway, it worked, lol

Sell Sterling... wow. Unless zurich is being sarcastic, that is one of the craziest, most reactionary opinions I've ever read online. And that's saying a lot. Congrats I guess?

Well, watched the game on delay this evening here since I couldn't see it live.

Talk about an emotional roller coaster!

Hart was absolutely brilliant, even with one long kick (some were typical) that created an excellent chance for Kun I believe, who is hard to believe we are watching the same player with his finishing. Too early to really worry, and he came through when we needed him in the end, but those two misses I think he would have buried normally. His first shot, however, seemed to me as it would have been a goal on another day after their keeper made a good save from that nice move via Kola and Radio Raheem.

We always seem to start brilliantly and then fall off, but it was apparent when Yaya came off that we were a different team, and even arguably when Silva left as well. Due to fitness? Not sure, but we stopped looking so porous after Fernando came on, and more dangerous with Navas on late.

The refereeing will surely will fuel the fire about conspiracy against us in CL though. The bogus penalty for them which was surely a dive, Otamendi's goal that should have been Demi's, but also less noticed I believe, was that they could have been down to 10 men for the last 15 minutes or so of the 2nd half. There was no yellow given to their winger who took out Sterling or Kun (I think) with no intention of getting the ball as he was about to be blown by. He was given a yellow for something later which would have been his 2nd. He was taken off soon after I believe.

After our first goal, the paranoid conspiracist in me was thinking the reason CL didn't add goal line technology is to ensure they can find a way to prevent club's like us from winning and/or help whoever they want to win.

As for our pen, that was fair. Aguero may have not been able to get it, but he was impeded enough, and nowhere near as awful as the one they won.

Quite relieved but still very concerning to see us chewed up again. We will be destroyed by better opposition if we don't get back to something closer to what we were looking like earlier this season.

Did not see the game yesterday but caught the highlights today.

- I don't think there's anything wrong with Agüero anymore. Two top top saves from Sommer denied him, in a regular game those two would've gone in.

- Savage sounds like he's on crack and is simply annoying. But to be fair, he did shout yes when we scored so perhaps not so biased against us as he wants to let on to his mate Mancini.

- Can the penalty ref give us a goal? I mean, is it technically within his jurisdiction to do that or is he there to just give penalties? Honest question, I'm confused.

- I like City. They're swell.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

He's not a penalty ref, he is there just to rule on whether the ball crosses the goal line.

Aguero looked better but he's not there yet, still not striking the ball right but much better last night getting into scoring positions.

OK, so he went out of his jurisdiction when he made the ref give them a penalty but then didn't do his job when MDM's ball clearly crossed the line. Fantastic.

I seriously don't want to be in the champion's league. I know we have to in order to get the players we want and to make the budget numbers black, but it's just a pain in the arse to be part of this corrupt competition year in and year out.

They're allowed to make penalty calls as well. Here's from an interview UEFA chief refereeing officer Pierluigi Collina:

"The main goal is for additional assistant referees to give support when a decision has to be taken – particularly inside the penalty area, where a decision can affect the result of a match, ..."

And me, awful competition.
In fairness, I used to think I felt that way because we were never in it. But now we are I still feel the same.

the actual ref in last night's game was ok and the game itself was enjoyable. for the neutral. and for us in the end. it's the games against those cheating, diving cunts barca that I've hated. and they are supposed to be what the comp is about. it's shit.

So have the culprits who said Aguero's penalty was soft and sterling should be sold in January sobered up yet?

This champions league stuff won't wash with me while it's more biased than the premier league.

As I've said loads of times, I want is to win it once to say we have, but give the me premier leagues any day of the week over it.

To be fair they did piss all over us last time. Messi chose that match to have his best game of the year.

On a positive note - this season I've heard several previously retiscent 'commentators' talk of us as giants of the game. The denial years are over.

What's this 'lucky' shit?
Hart made a couple of decent saves, but so did their keeper. Their penalty was a joke and there was a chance at the start of the second half that looked a country mile offside. But we were away to a German side and gradually took the game by the scruff and fought back to win. That was a really decent effort and had Serg had his shooting boots on, he could easily have had five.
Quit joining in with the press agenda, that was a good European performance in a feisty atmosphere.
Still don't like the stupid competition though, but we'll be in with a shout in this group now.

Good call on the offside in the 2nd half. I couldn't believe they didn't even question it and he looked 10 yds offside. Same shit, different stadium.

BT sport surely made themselves look stupid with savage being a commentator last night. He was beyond garbage.

The Swiss 'in-studio' analysts. (Current professional and a good manager), chose to emphasise how , up the field ,City dominated the play. How we tried to win the ball back as often as possible and how this made MGB players very tired towards the end. There was no doubt in their minds that City were the better team over the 90 minutes. They correctly called the penalty attempts as 'dives' and felt MGB were basically punching above their weight. They showed the chances for and against CIty. So it is not all doom and gloom.

Both Savage and Mcmananananananaman were beyond a joke last night. Slating us at every given opportunity for the entire match. It was sickening to listen to and disgusting that they were commentating on an English side playing away in Germany. Utterly bitter and contrite in nearly everything that they said. These cunts should be getting behind us but make it prefectly clear that they are against us.

If i ever meet Mcmaanananananaman, I am, going kick his fucklin nadgers in big time grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

I reckon Macca is one of those 'got hit with one punch outside of a club and fell down and hit his head which killed him' type of guys from the news. Likes to give it large but he's definitely more fragile than Samuel L in Unbreakable.
