An offer that is lower than what they offered last season.

So it's ok for arsenal to do this sort of thing, but nobody else?

Arsenal are living in a dream world if they think Everton would sell than Jagielka for anything near that figure. This has the stench of a bid made to appease the fans, rather than actually expecting to complete a transfer.

Exactly.

Done deal my fucking arse. I don't even know if we were ever in anything but enquiry stage.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I cant EVER trust a done deal post on Bluemoon even if its put up by the mighty powerful Tolmie of knowledge.
Its full of bollox the best is when people posts up links to twitter sites of kids studying sports science saying he's ITK.

i have to say that if we were truly in for him, we must not have rated him that highly, OR we heard that he just wouldn't come to us no matter what we bid (which i know were rumours earlier, but who knows...)

Bobby needs to get Marwood and Cookie to pull their collective finger out tho and show us something early next week. the filth and scouse have upgraded, and we seem to be whiling away the days with Chelski sitting around waiting for a couple big ones to pop. let's get something done please.

from the BBC:

0805: FOOTBALL - Manchester City full-back Wayne Bridge has been added to the New York Cosmos squad for Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes' testimonial at Old Trafford on 5 August.
And this:

i have to say that i am actually somewhat into the Cosmos revival. it's got all the trappings a gloryhunter like me might find fun in terms of going to some MLS matches once they get it moving -- big city, bright lights, throwback sentimentality, plus the new umbro gear looks fresh. if i would support any team in the MLS just as a local distraction i could see it being them if they get this thing up and running, cuntona linkage really tbh doesn't put me off perhaps as it will most even...

unfortunately, i don't think they'll field a team for 2 more seasons so we'll have to keep shopping bridge. i hate that these players on the wedge they are on are nearly intractable. a problem of our own doing that we all foresaw, but i suppose it had to be done to get things moving really. i hope the likes of Bridge, Bellamy and Ade can be off this summer....they all need a chance to play some football.

cheers

Out of everyone we have been linked with this summer, personally, I want Pastore the most.

Outrageously talented player. Zidane level in a few years.

Breaking news:
Aston Villa have agreed a £9.5million fee with Wigan for French winger Charles N'Zogbia. Skysports.com will bring you more on this story shortly.

That's a decent deal for Villa imo. They are definitely winners here if you think that they were able replace Downing with N'Zogbia and got £10mil too.
assuming this deal goes through of course

Here's our old friend Ian McGarry spreading shit on Twitter

#CFC been trying for Johnson for more than 6 weeks. Young, English and can play right/left wing. Player would like to move. #MCFC won't sell

So, according to him Chelsea think that a) City would sell them Adam Johnson, b) they've been "after him" for 6 weeks. Hmm, the scent of complete fabrication fills the air.

Maybe they wont meet our £50m asking price, its a blanket approach on players we want to keep ;-)

I wish city were in for N'zgobia. He's going to aston villa for around 10 mil... He's exactly the kind of player that we need.
