Joining, it's another Milner or Lescott signing.

Mancini is obviously as pissed off with it all as we are. I hope he signs, but this should have been sewn up ages ago.
If he doesn't come, expect a last week dash through the market, and then God knows who we will end up with....
Benjani at an airport anyone?

This has become very, very boring. If it was a will he/won't he about an exciting world class player it might be worth all the weeks and months of speculation, but for someone of 24 who is still only talked of in terms of "potential" it has become a saga way beyond his worth. If James Milner and Adam Johnson could be relied upon to play a good 90 minutes once in a while we wouldn't even need him, as it stands we are relying heavily on YaYa, Silva, Barry and De Jong and need someone decent to spread the load. Time will tell if Nasri can have a positive influence on the City team, but I'm already put off by a certain whiff of Adebayor-esque mercenariness about him.

Apparently Nasri's set to start against Liverpool in half an hour.

This doesn't surprise me and I can't say I blame Wenger. Why shouldn't he play his strongest available side? They pay his wages until he's transferred. It's also a statement by Wenger to City "Put up or fuck off".

So Nasri is going to play today. If we eventually buy him, i take it he can still play in the premier league for city this season? And also i ask the same question regarding the champions league, i dont know if Nasri played in the first leg playoff for Arsenal but if he does play in the champions league with Arsenal, if he signs for city, can he still play in the champions league this season?

Him playing today means fucl all.
This won't affect the transfer in any way.

And yes, he can play for us in Prem this season. He was named to Arsenals champions league squad but as he was suspended and did not play he still can play for us in CL too.
But if he plays even one minute for Arse in the 2nd leg of CL he will become cup tied for 2011-12 CL.

Gotta be a farewell appearance today.

Big gamble from Wenger though, if he gets a bad injury they are pretty much kissing goodbye to £23 million.

Imo, if we're battling against agent's fees in this one & calling their bluff, it may not be quite so easy to get the agent to back down, as he stands to make a killing when Nasri signs for the rags when out of contract next summer.

Canal Plus are claiming that negotiations have broken down and that Nasri will be staying at Arsenal this season.
