I don't think anybody has a problem with Mario popping in to see his old coach and wish him well, for me it's the fact that he had to do it when he was having the official unveiling. Even the coach looked at him as if to say 'You just couldn't leave me to my 5 minutes of fame'.

Does anyone else feel like this hero-status we've built for him could very easily turn around and bite us on the arse?

I absolutely do ! Its as if he does these simple/weird things, and then everyone is quick to build him up as a Folk Tale Hero or something? All the things that Noel Gallagher asked in his interview with Mario.... that he was hoping Mario would answer yes to (like going to the school to tell a bully to lay off etc) were answered with a "no that is not true"! Noel was even a bit dissappointed , like when you find out Santa isnt real.
He will be going back to Milan at some point....and I dont blame the Club one bit. I was watching the replay of the Lisbon game last night.....all I kept noticing is how much Mario just loafs around. He is almost in a haze at times....Im surprised more English fans dont piss all over that....instead a new story will be created "Mario walks slowly as there was a wounded ant on the pitch..."

What I heard was that the way it had been reported was wrong. Obviously he was there but it seems that at some point with the press conference being delayed somebody invited Mario in for some hellos before the conference actually started rather than Mario just bursting in.The press were all over it and it appeared as though he just came in uninvited.

Sounds to me like Mario was played by somebody at Inter and was more naive than anything.

You're probably right there mate and it's his naivity that winds me up.

Anyway, it seems it's hit the Telegraph now with a pic of Mancini looking as though he is shouting angrily at Mario. What gets me is that even though there is no reporter there, just the photographer, they still put a damning story out, from a picture. I seem to remember one of the journo's doing a piece on Nige after the Ben Arfa leg break and them doctoring a picture in attempt to make it look like they were reconstructing the incident.

These fuckers do what they want and don't give a toss about the truth. So glad that we are starting to ban these clown's.

my take on ballotelli is hes got bags of potential, but hes too hot/cold and more often cold, i wouldnt be arsed if he went in the summer so long as a cavani type figure came in place!!

I would be very sad to see Balotelli go & I hope he doesn't but if he does stay, I still won't think of him as a reliable striker for next season. He is a secret weapon/wild card player rather than someone you build the team around. Dzeko is the same.

Somewhere we have to find another striker who we can trust to do a consistent, top quality, hard working job.

Best thing Mario does is constantly provide a distaction for the press to focus on. Instead of looking at all our squad and writing crap about them, Mario gives them enough ammunition all the time with his madcap life.

Its almost as if Mancini tells him every 2 weeks to go out and just do whatever he wants to take the heat off the rest of the squad, and Mario obliges by flying a Tiger Moth over The Etihad, turning up at Trafalgar Square dressed as a Traffic Warden, pissing off a Hotel roof etc.

You do realise that all of those things will appear in Mark Ogden's next piece of 'journalism' now ?

Me neither. I just noticed that some people were attributing the latest pile of shite to originating from him.

Whether this is genuine or not, who knows, but an account on Twitter said to be that of Mario's brother Enoch posted this earlier:

Enoch Balotelli ‏ @EBalotelli
I'm going to be with Mario this evening, He will be answering you're questions at 8:30PM. RT this onto all you're followers.

Haha, I know what you mean mate.

Think we will be lined up with just 1 up front to be honest - with the players he can trust.

Having said that, I would whack Tevez in to start in place of Silva - whilst he is a cunt, you can trust him on the pitch, and this is a big game, for big game players.
