Shambolic dreadful tactical disasters (twice) & a disgraceful ref handed Liverpool a cup final. The 1st half selection at home, with no creativity until half time & then setting a team up to try to cover a defender who is shit when you are a goal down. 2-2, not a bad result considering. The problem I've got is that I predicted the 2 teams in the final, and Dowd proved me right. My heart sank, literally sank when I seen him give advantage to Liverpool for a so-called Kolarov foul. And then, he had the cheek to come back and book him! I've seen it all in football but when you see something as blatant as that (please tell me I've got it wrong) then you realise, really realise that there is something deep-seated in the corridors of power.

I enjoyed the game but it is now apparent that there is no way we can play the game in an era of TV dominance. A real shame, I lost the will for the game (for an age it seemed) for the first time in my life and I'm gutted.

I'm glad we've got a break this weekend and even gladder (if this is a word) that I'll be training people up rather than watching the football. I think I need a break.

PS. Why didn't they show Dzeko's shot on goal that was stopped by 2 players as I honestly thought it was handball? Instead they showed a substitution for over a minute. Aren't these things worthy, they even show the offside decisions?

A few reflections on that


They were desperate for it and were prepared to do whatever necessary to get the job done
We on the other hand looked like we couldn´t care less
It took an ex-player we gifted them to get through
The difference was a ridiculous penalty decision (oh and one NOT given)
Dippers simply cannot play with that intensity week in week out. That we know. They will go and blow up v the scum you watch
It´s annoying but they won´t be playing CL next season


They still couldn´t beat us even though we were shite with a load of players out

Have we put all our eggs into one basket? Is that a risky strategy? Time will tell
