It's weird isn't it ?

We have given Navas and Negredo so much time and patience.

Yet jimbo comes on and boom ! 2-2.

No big noises ,just gets on with the game.

Pellegrini fucked up badly taking Edin off at the time he did. All wrong, sends all the wrong signals to his players. Sure kun is good but give him 5 mins at the end he hasn't played for ages.
We had them and Pellegrini goes and stops us.

Kun needed 20 minutes to get him ready for the next game; or at least, so that we could better judge him, under game-time conditions.
I don't see it as a bad call, no matter how well Dzeko played.

No he doesn't. Not at the expense of a possible third goal. Edin almost bagged the third and gets pulled off.

That is bad coaching/ managing. The team were on a roll and Pellegrini applied the brakes. It is most unusual for a player to have an immediate effect when coming on and Kun was an observer .

Missed the last 10 and can't wait to read the last 10 pages. What happened, heard Skeletor handles the ball, should we have at least got a point?

Almost?
For 68 minutes?
It's easy to second-guess, but I think we'll see the benefit of it on the run-in

We started pathetically, rallied brilliantly, then gifted the winner.

We have nobody but ourselves to blame.

The pts we pissed away at Cardiff, Sunderland, Villa and Norwich are what has put us in this position, not today.

Kompany had a stinker but so did Pellegrini Im afraid. 5 big games lost in the past 2 months - Barca x2, Chelsea, Wigan and today.

Not. Good. Enough.

Difficult to coprehend how with this squad, in 2 seasons, weve won 1 Capital One Cup and that looks like it. Underachieving on a grand scale given our resources.

We lacked a physical presence in their area following Dzeko's removal, with hindsight it was a poor call from Pellegrini but understandable I think that you'd want to give Aguero the final 20. I imagine we'd be criticising him for not making the change when he did had Dzeko stayed on and the result remained the same.

Over the two games v dippers I reckon a win each is probably about right. We were a tad lucky to get a win on Boxing day and they were a tad lucky to get win today. Over the 180 minutes chances were probably about even. Think it was unlucky we faced them today. They were always going to start well today and so it proved. Not much between the sides imo

Dippers had the 1st half, we had the 2nd and I think they were very lucky to take all 3 points.

By the sounds of it Clattenburg took his orders and played them well. What's this about a Skrtyl handball?

Aguero was within one inch of winning us the game, about 30 seconds before Vinny pissed it away, when he turned Scrotal inside out & passed to Silva. Vinny's fuckup allowed Liverpool to change tactics & hang back. Likelihood is, Pelegrini would not have swapped Dzeko for Aguero had it been 2-3, he would have taken off a midfielder. Aguero was there to win us the game when Liverpool were forced to throw players forward & it almost worked.

Not fair that some are criticising Pellegrini for what was almost a perfect choice.

I'm far more annoyed at the blatant suarez dive that was right in front of him.

He should have walked, no ifs ands or buts.

Remove their star player and play them for 40 mins with ten men and we would have walloped them.

But that would have ruined the Hillsborough anniversary. And that is all I can fathom as to why he didn't send him off.

That was the one he bottled imo, the others were fair enough & consistent with the way he reffed similar Liverpool incidents. He can't give what he hasn't seen.

All in all, I think he had a very good game. I can think of several refs who would have had us 4-0 down by half time.

Don't know about motd2 but the panel on BeIn Sport (Andy Gray, Glen Hoddle and another bloke who used to be a coach at the Rags !! didn't catch his name) all agreed that Suarez should have been off. They also agreed that the Skertl handball should have been given and Gray evn said that the Silva incident was a clear penalty.

I agree with many who said that subbing Dzeko was a mistake. We had no heavy presence in the penalty area after he left. We were drawing at that stage and Pellers should've been either pragmatic and settled for the draw or more adventurous and taken off Nasri for Aguero to go and win the match.

From what's been said, Suarez should've been off and we should've had a penalty (at least one). But that's the way the system works, we're small-fry compared to the likes of the dippers. Them having a few hundred million viewers whilst we have a couple of mil or so makes a difference.

I seen 2 clear cut penalties for us, both were waved away. Clattenburg was briefed, there wasn't a chance.

Fuck you Dippers, hope you sold aload.

We can grumble all we want about a slow start and poor defending etc, but if the referee puts in a performance like that you simply can't win. Wait for the Chelsea game at boofield. They will get fuck all too.

I missed the last 10 or so but from what you've said, it compares well with what a mate seen.

Lost off the pitch, did we ever have a chance?

Apparantly it is the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

It seems like only yesterday it was all over the news. And the day before that. And the day before that. And the day before that. And 9000 days before that......
