Villa paid £12mil for him two seasons ago and he's progressed a lot in those 2 seasons so paying £20-25mil wouldn't really be that much over his value! Hope we don't go crazy with the bidding though

tbh if i were villa i'd accept our offer.

20 million in cash with 5 million in add ons is a pretty good deal imo. They could get a top notch striker and a replacement cm for that kind of dosh.

Don't think they're too happy to be honest...

If Jimmy goes I will give up on football I truly will, my season ticket will be put back in the post and I`ll cancel my direct debit.

It makes me sick that this second rate Football Club with a "Sugar Daddy" can flex it`s financial muscle like this, no it`s not jealousy it`s the soul of football they are single handedly destroying.

Who the f**k are Man City and what have they ever done in English Football?

And to think I was having a great week, Gareth Barry saga x 10

FUCK ME, feeling good after tolmies latest post!

I was a bit downhearted but if you read his post, he has listed a number of names and where we are with them, then had said he cant comment on the others are DONE (three).

Im trying to work out who the done deals are (NOT torres, gerrard, Ibra, Gourguff, Boateng, Milner). So im thinking David Luiz is in the bag and possibly Di Maria. BUT he keeps hinting at a big player. For me his clues meant Gerrard or Kaka, but as he claims ''Gerrard is the No.1 target - Liverpool desperate to do the business, his agents now in the loop''; it would allure me to. . .. KAKA?! Could it possibly be? Fuck gerrad and I wouldnt see why we would want both him and gerrard. Milner is obviously back up for either.

Also said weve gone for two people in each of the positions we wanted which makes sense. Ribery?/Di Maria, Gerrad/Kaka/Milner (back up), Torres/Ibra (back up), Luiz/ (?).

Just as a bit of a fun I wonder who the wingers are other than Di Maria and if we have identified other positions. Do we count milner as a right winger? Where would Kaka play?

Further, he even mentions that 2 OTHER barca players are up for sale. He thinks Yaya and Bojan. I dont want Yaya as we have de jong.

We can slate the guy all we want, but lets just see.

Not surprised they're asking for more. After all, we set the tone paying 24 mill for Lescott.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

WELL based on all the shit he has got right in the past (I dont go on bluemoon that much though!) I would say he knows a fair bit. As nothing had been announced today and he keeps harping on about either gerrard or another big player, with hints of stalling I thought he was a bullshiter.

He has got many things on the money in the past. BUT other things haven't come off. For example, people have broken that we were talking to terry and Eto and that we bid for Madriga. But these deals didnt happen, so whoever breaks the news looks like a mug.

Im confident we have made signings and it does look good. I believe we have been in for Gerrard, but then if he says no (personal opinion is that hes stalling) then Tolmie looks like a bullshiter.

It seems like we are approaching a couple of big players and they want gurantees that others are signing (ala tevez).

Good player. Consistant, covers multiple positions to a high level.

A different kind of player to our other wingers, plus he was productive from the middle of the park too last season which is a position we may have earmarked for him.

Not fussed about the price, thats irrellevant these days almost.
