Hi I'm Ian, I lurked for a while, joined toward the end of last season. Finally got myself together to afford a ST so can't wait for August now. :)

Newcastle fan here, obviously. Don't know if I'll stick around as I find posting on one forum effort enough, but congratulations on last season and I hope you repeat it again this season. Your performance up here at the end of the season was one of the best I'd seen at St James' from an opposition club in a long time, especially considering our form going into the game. Deserved league winners, I thought.

Yup, was a shame but while (in my opinion, anyway) our first team was probably capable of hitting the top four spots - given Chelsea's decline and Tottenham's poor form - over the course of the season we just didn't have the squad depth, and injuries and the African Cup of Nations ultimately cost us. Hopefully this year we'll be able to keep a hold of our "big" players, strengthen in a few key areas and have another crack at it, although I'd be quite happy with top seven and a decent Europa League run.
