City continue to monitor Nasri

Sky Sports sources understand Manchester City are still monitoring Samir Nasri at a time when contract talks have stalled with Arsenal.

The France international has entered the final year of his current deal at Emirates Stadium and he is not thought to want to sign an extension.

City's interest emerged as a consequence, while Manchester United and Chelsea were also considering their options before taking a step back.

Arsenal do not want to sell Nasri in a summer when captain Cesc Fabregas is again being targeted by Barcelona, who have already failed in two close-season bids.

But Arsene Wenger would then run the risk of allowing Nasri to leave for free next summer when he will be out of contract.

Manager Wenger would want Nasri to fill the attacking void in central midfield if Fabregas is sold, while it has been reported that Valencia winger Juan Mata is wanted for the wide areas.

Arsenal have therefore been attempting to convince Nasri to stay, but, ahead of this weekend's Emirates Cup, it is understood contract talks have stalled.

City completed the £38million signing of Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid on Thursday night, but money is not an issue at the Etihad Stadium.

Arsenal's transfer strategy, which also includes Everton centre-back Phil Jagielka, largely depends on the future of Fabregas, and chairman Peter Hill-Wood has already urged Barcelona to make a decision on the Spain midfielder.

He was quoted as saying by the Daily Star: "They have been messing about for a year-and-a-half now and they have got to make up their minds.

"The ball is in their court. They have made one bid of around £26m and another rather tentative one.

"If they want to buy the player they are going to have to pay the right price - and when you look at what is being paid elsewhere I don't think what we are asking is at all unreasonable."

I'd be happy with this summer if we got Nasri.

Clichy
Savic
Aguero
Nasri

That wouldn't be bad for one transfer window..

this just in via google translate from the Dessous of Sport, or something. Seems, uhm, nailed on?

Nasri always watched by Manchester City!

Samir Nasri is really beside the coast of Manchester after United, City is interested in the middle of Arsenal.
Although it has not extended his contract, Arsenal seeks at all costs retain Samir Nasri, who is no more than a year contract with the Gunners.

Contractual situation Nasri is an asset that Manchester City could use to try to persuade Arsenal to let his Frenchy this summer. In any case, according to Sky Sports, the Citizens are on the lookout on the folder and Nasri could make an offer stupendous if the club Arsene Wenger finally decided to put the French international market.

Business (yet) to be continued ...

Heard that AC Milan want Balo on loan with an option for a 15m euro buy option.

AC Milan are readying a bid for a Manchester City striker, to replace Antonio Cassano, who looks set to leave the club this summer.
Mario Balotelli is of course the troubled star in Manchester being linked to the Rossoneri, who have previously expressed interest in the 20-year-old.
The latest reports from Tribal Football come on the back of Balotelli’s latest antics in the US, which involved a spat with manager Roberto Mancini, following an audacious spinning back heel shot that did not come off.
The young Italian is reportedly unsettled in England, and would jump at the chance to return home.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has a solid relationship with the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, and has made no secret of his desire to lure the youngster in the future.

If City either a) loan AJ to Everton, b) sell him to Sunderland, or c) sell him to Chelsea, then my arse is a fire engine.

After all that crap with Everton 2 years ago, I wouldnt sell them any shit off our shoes.

This seems to be picking up more steam today

We wouldn't sell him for less than we paid - and we're not going to loan a striker out when we're potentially one short as it is.

Oh yes we will.

Like him or loathe him, fact is he will leave us at some point for a fraction of £24Mil.

I'd take £15Mil for him. Good business I'd say.

Errr.... how is that a "fact"? You don't like him, fair enough, but he is world young player of the year and bought as an investment. Nothing indicates that he'd leave us for "a fraction of 24m".
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

We'll see. My view is that he will leave us in the next 18 months for a lot less than £24Mil.

Undoubted talent but an absolute nutter. The club/Bobby will run out of patience, and will take the opportunity to cut our losses should one arrive. My opinion of course.

According to Spanish website AS Manchester City are desperate to offload Emmanuel Adebayor to Real Madrid. Roberto Mancini will settle for just €5 million for the striker, or a swap deal involving Raul Albiol.

I'd take Raul Albiol. Great defender that can play all 4 positions. Plus Ade would get his wish to leave and we'd get his wages off the books.

Also I read something, could be a complete fabrication...most likely.
Speculation: Reports in Italy claiming Inter Milan could offer Maicon as part of deal a for Carlos Tevez.

No word if Inter would be including cash as well (they definitely should). I wouldnt want Maicon though; I like Richards at right back more.

Lastly, Bolton may swoop for SWP and Weiss.
