No, you're not. The more this drags on, and the longer I've had to think about it, the less I like. I've said it before, but he reminds me too much of the kind of mercenary Hughes was fond of buying. Fabregas going to Barca was an equally drawn out, boring saga, but he's a very good player and will do well. I've also said before that if Milner and Adam Johnson were nearly as good as we hoped they'd be we wouldn't even need Nasri. As it stands, we need a a decent player or two just to ease the burden on those we can rely on.

Phil McNulty of the BBC says the deal is still on, still haggling over the details. Who knows.

Surely the key test is Tuesday. If he plays for Arsenal he'll be cup tied for the Champion's League and the deal will surely be off. Hard to imagine Wenger not playing him if he's staying.

What we lack is a Plan B. We should have been aggressively pursuing Sneijder as well. As it is Arsenal know we're desperate. If we don't get a top class midfielder in before the end of the season it could cost a chance of the title. I'd love to Eden Hazard; as well as Nasri not as a substitute though.

Nasri will absolutely not want to spend a season there. It's about to go into meltdown. Clearly it's not just Nasri who is unhappy.

Heard the commentators on today's match saying that Wenger might keep Nasri until next weekend to play him against the Rags. Makes sense with Arsenal being so depleted, so why not keep him until the last minute !

A dangerous game for Arsenal would be to wait. Risk of injury, and would we want to be boxed into a corner? Roberto seems impatient, and hopefully once one or two of our players are shipped out next week, we will be into Plan B time, should this one drag on.

yea, after bolton and before arsenal's clash with udinese.

on a side note...if he does play for Arsenal vs. udinese and they lose, he will still be able to play for us. but if they win and he cant, do people on here think that we should still buy him, but at a lower price?

I think we should just get our fingers out and get this done before anything like that happens, heaven forbid our negotiators having to restructure this deal again!

Please for the love of god, seal the deal city.

I think that the rules are if Arsenal win or lose and he plays any part, he will be illegible for us.

No mate, Phips id right. If he plays and they get knocked out then he is free to play in the CL for another team. If they win, he's not eligible.

illegible. somehow, i doubt that he's "illegible" no matter what the score of the match is.

To a lot of posters on this site 5 letter words are a bit much, Tobias. Don't discount his illegibility.
