This. Exactly. Ratcliffe banging on about whether the current govt want to see growth in the area resulting from the redevelopment. He’s planning to use prefabricated components, made overseas and shipped in on the ship canal. So not even supporting uk construction. At least Manchester corporation continues to earn acreage direct return on its investment in the commonwealth stadium. Apart from trickledown bullshit how do Manchester rate payers get a return on this nonsense.

I believe it's been designed the way it is because it's the only way the rags can get three points.

That opens up a huge can of worms, if they get it, the que of other clubs with hands out wont be long forming.
I mean if they get a massive hand out, why cant anyone else?

Cant see it getting off the ground, it looks horrid anyway, the thing would be leaking in a few months.

They don't want tax payers to fund the stadium. They're funding that themselves.

They want the council or government to contribute to the regeneration of the area and travel infrastructure improvements, which is probably pretty standard for developments of that size.

Just been watching Comic Relief and they did an ensemble of Always look in the brightside of life.....

Got me wandering, given how shit they've become, do the rags still play it/sing at the swamp aka theatre of screams?

I never knew they ever did, but it's really apt nowadays.

Not really sure where to post this, but seeing it's rather funny, I'll put it here.

And all this after the media bigged him up for leaving and being such a superstar.
I seems we dodged a huge bullet.

There was plenty that thought we’d got a brilliant deal selling Palmer. Funny how things turn out.

We did! He's been crap lately! But they took a big gamble, it paid off. Some you win.....

Bit like crying about Sancho and crying about Palmer, some you win, some you lose :D

Jury's out on Palmer a little bit. Great first season. This season, not so much.

When we sold him, under the circumstances it was a great deal. Same as the Sancho one. Who was/still is, a bad apple. His attitude is not one that will elevate him to the levels his talent would suggest and both the rags and Chelsea have found this out the hard way
