when i see palmer play, he doesn't give me the impression that 'he wants it'
clearly talented but never seems to give his all...

Similar. But on the few occasions he came on in 21/22 (and possibly the start of 22/23, up to the 6-3 over the Rags), I thought he overdid it and was like a headless chicken.
I honestly don't think he's going to make it with us from what I've seen, although admittedly I haven't seen enough youth games to see what many others see in him from there. He's only started 1 game in the current Euros; a dead rubber against Germany in the group stage.
