Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Thought these Walker rumors died down a bit. IF he goes we would miss him in certain games. Talk was we offered him two years, but maybe he sees that Pep is not gong to use pacey overlapping full backs and he sees more game time at Bayern.

Fabrizio Romano has the same story. Walker might pull back but for now seems he has given Bayern the green light.

I think its fine, these lads owe us nothing and we owe them nothing. Its amicable. Its very hard to top what they have achieved last season, actually impossible so it makes a little sense esp to go to another giant of european football.

My fear is we might leave it too late to replace them wnd end up with a lot of duds who even if good will need a year to bed in.

Keeping bernardo the big one for me, we can get awat with losing walker and gundo to an extent.

I’d disagree massively mate. We’ve given these players the chance to work with the best manager in the world. We’ve given them the best facilities in the world. We’ve surrounded them by their mates in the football world (Walker with all the English players, Bern with all the Portuguese players).

Most importantly we’ve given them the opportunity to win the treble.

To think they owe us nothing is wrong imo. What other club has built what we have in the last 10 years? I’ve dug Pep out loads but we wouldn’t have won the treble without him. These players wouldn’t have won half of what they have if it wasn’t for the club and Pep.

I honestly think it’s a cunts move to do this and go to any rival

I'm not for sentiments, its all about what's best for the club. The players on the verge of leaving are past their 30s, at what point do we replace them? I know you'll say not all in one window, that's true maybe it's best to start rebuilding now whilst we still got Pep? The last thing we need is Pep leaving and we're stuck with an aging squad past it's best just like when Fergie left the rags.

Walker isn’t passed his best though. He was clocked as being the fastest player in the Prem last season. He’s not slowing down. The second leg against Madrid was the best performance I’ve seen from him - he has VJr in his back pocket all night.

And Gundo definitely wasn’t passed his best - as shown multiple times last season.

I agree with the sentiment bit and we shouldn’t keep hold of players longer than we need to just because we like them. In the case of Walker he’s still got it and is very useful against pacy wingers.

The thing is, some need something, a new motivation after they won everything, hence Walker and Gundo.

I can't blame them, it's normal I reckon.
Now we need a fast wing back. Let's see who is available

Fabrizio Romano reckons we’ll be in for Pavard from Bayern if Walker goes.

Don't know about this. I think I've read he struggled with mental health during lockdown?
He is a good player, but I think he was called a flop there?

Maybe Zury can enlighten us.

Didnt he want to leave cos he didnt want to play right back? No thanks! Lewis, Akanje and Stones is fine until we can get a decent one. Heck id even keep cancelo than sign someone for sake of it.

Remember when clubs tried to hide the fact that were tapping up players? Seems to have gone out the window. Would love city to turn around and just say sorry not for sale and refuse to do a deal. Esp with those fuckers. Rather lose him on a free next year
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pavard is not shite. Whether Tuchel fancies him I don’t know. He wouldn’t be the first good player to lose out with a change of manager.

At some point we have to say it’s fine if players want to leave but we’ll only deal with certain clubs, I.e ones that don’t have board members that bad mouth is constantly. Bayern are the worst for it along with the La Liga whopper. Not sure why we entertain them when they continue to dig us out.

I wouldn't get rid of Walker personally, I'd like him to stick around until Rico is ready to take over.

Yeah I agree. He’s got a lot to offer the kids in knowledge. If we’ve offered him two years and he won’t accept that it’s crazy.

I can't see him going at his age and uprooting his kids. I'll be surprised if he did.
