Last week, I bought the theory that he was coming after he served his 1 match Champions League ban. Now I am buying the theory that once the Arse get through to the Champions League proper, ie Tuesday, he willl move. Arsenal absolutely have to get through or they are stuffed and Wenger is so strapped for players of quality, so he needs Nasri for the game.

It's a theory and I can go with it.

However, I frankly couldn't give a shit as it's been the worst drag of the decade. I'd prefer Tevez to stay, all day long. As for these Agents, they just represent all that is wrong with this greedy game. I'd not be paying them 3m, no way.

There is always the flipside to that argument, Arsenal fail to qualify and they become desperate to recoup the lost champions league money on Nasri's sale, a man who will leave them high and dry in 6 months time.

It's a difficult position, I would expect movement before Wednesday.

I just don't get why we'd be expected to pay for the agents? If we hired the agent to get the deal done then fair enough, but in this case it's the players agent who works for him. The agents obviously negotiated with Arsenal and us to get the best deal for his player so therefore the money he makes should come from the player that he represents?

Am I missing something?

It depends on what the usual practice is. As far as I understand it, City have changed the way they operate so several deals, including Yaya Toure's, were held up because of this. I think the agents look for another deal where they can make more money but the player decides on City, then he comes. With Nasri though, he can be a free agent if he can stick one more season at arsenal.

Personally I'd be out of there so fast my feet wouldn't touch the floor.

So what you're saying is that basically the agent is trying to get a legal back-hander to ensure the deal goes through. If they get no-one else to come in and barter or if the player decides that that's the club for me it leaves the agent in limbo and he only gets payed through his player.

Nasri, I would suggest, definately wants away but if the deal isn't in place as yet then it leaves him in limbo with Arsenal still able to do with him as they see fit; that could include a place in Arsenal's CL squad. What I don't like is the reporting of the Mancini statement yesterday warning Wenger not to play him as we all know that Wenger will not take kindly to this sort of threat.

I think Wenger will try to play him. Nasri may become 'injured' though.

If Nasri wants City bad enough, he'll get the move, but this CL game complicates things. Otherwise I'd have no worries he'd be here before the window shuts. This game, in effect puts an earlier deadline on the deal, unless, as I say; he gets 'injured'.

Bob seemed to feel it may get done before the game though, so lets see.

If Nasri wants to leave, it must be in his own intrest not to be cup tied?

Even if picked I 'm for one would refuse to play, taking any fine thrown my way.

It just gets worse for Wenger, he's just been given another 2 match UEFA ban. How stupid is it that Wenger didn't [strike]see it[/strike] know that he couldn't send messages down to the dug-out during his ban?

Wenger is rapidly becoming a parady of himself and the longer this goes on, the more the board will get sick of him
he's already issued the age old "I won't quit arsenal" aka "if you want rid, sack me and pay me"

He could easily have had Jagielka and Cahill as his CB partners by now instead he's sending out 18 year olds to take on Liverpool and apropos of that, Suarez
he's also just about stubborn enough to play nasri this week out of sheer spite (and thats all it will be)

Hes managed to become even more ridiculous than his portrayal in special one tv

The longer this drags on the less I want him. Players who start shitstorms to force their own exit from a club where they've been well treated often cause problems further down the road.

The agents want a payday as a reward for all their hard work in getting Nasri to piss in his own tent and secure a big deal. In terms of the official transfer, they're barely involved, so there's no reason for such huge special bonuses. In terms of the fact that he's got a year left on his contract and has been refusing a new deal, they're the main movers. They don't deserve to be paid for being dicks and they're trying to cause problems by putting up last minute roadblocks in the hope that teams will get annoyed enough to just pay.

nasri is being a dick, if he doesnt come to us this transfer window we will choose someone else and get them. Its not like we really need to fuck about and play his agents games if we dont want to.

Dont see why he isnt here already, if he wants to win trophies he will do it with us plus we will pay him more than anyone else will.

I actually agree with Cook et al in their stance over agents fees....fuck the Agents , they are thge scum of the earth and its high time we started playing hardball on every front even if it means we miss out on Nasri.

A bloke I know almost got Bobby Robson a job abroad before he was England manager. Even all those years ago, his cut would have been £50k. When you consider how much that would buy back in those days; it's a fucking lot of money for making a few phone calls & having a few conversations.
