Balotelli's Attitude

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I think England has been good for Balotelli. He doesn't go down as easily or roll around on the ground. It's nice to see.

I think he has a great attitude. Shame about the yellow but when you're playing so well, you get a little slack. He made the German defence look worse than dog-shit.

Have you watched him play in this tournament?

edit: he did well today and he may have improved a little but there have been numerous times during these games when I've been ashamed that MCFC player goes down so easily

Can someone do me a big favour? Lots of munes saying balo isn't fit to lace rooney's laces.

Goals to game ratio by the time both were 21?
And trophies won?

Now, I know who I'd rather have ability wise, but I'm on a massive wind up!

Please??

I think you need a new dictionary.

Nope, I think that one's just right. Would you consider Mario a prick, by definition?

Let's see: Rooney is 26, Balotelli is 21.

Including internationals (appearances then goals)
Rooney
02/03 42 (8)
03/04 52 (18)
04/05 49 (17) (with scum)
05/06 58 (21)
06/07 60 (24)

Which brings him to Balotelli's age. 261 games, 88 goals. 2.96 games per goal.

Awards: Prem 06/07, FA Cup 03/04, League Cup 05/06

You fail to consider how bad have been most of the pitches of this tournament. the episode of the disallowed goal to Italy clearly epitomizes that: lot of players have been slipping for all the game an more often in the minutes preceding that play: I had the clear impression that Balzaretti went offside because he slowered his pace in the attempt to retain some grip on the pitch,
Possibly, when mario did the same and wasted chances in the previous game was due to that... You don't see mario slow reacting when playing on English pitches.

Mario had 21 seconds worth of possession, with 17 passes (64% success rate) and 2 goals.

Balotelli
11/12 38 (18)
10/11 28 (10)
Inter 3 seasons 86 appearances (28 goals)

Total 152 appearances (56 goals). 2.71 games per goal. Less games better ratio.

With us there's the Prem and FA Cup. In Italy he had 3 league titles, 1 each coppa Italia and Supercup and of course the Champions League in 09/10 (8 appearances in Europe that season).

Oh and since signing for us he's 66 games (28 goals), 2.36 games per goal.

Over the same 2 seasons Shrek 118 games (45 goals), 2.6 games per goal.

Mario is doing well considering the sub appearances.

He played a brilliant match, cant deny that. Its the unpredictability that is the key here. Taking your shirt off in the first half against arguably up to that point the best team in the tournament, receiving the inevitable Yellow Card....with a half left....not the smartest move. I dont think anyone can doubt the mans talent. That second goal , for me, was one of the top, if not the top goal of the tourney thus far. Its his actions , immaturity, and at times his non chalance that keeps me from loving the guy.
