People need to understand that he scores in all competitions more than certain players like Higuain, Cavani, Sanchez, who are in the first eleven 95% of the time.
And YES, i am Edin's fan. Anyone have a problem? Would you people not want bosnian, or any other nation to support your club and give it popularity, even if it is just because of one player? Wouldn't you want to see someone different nation wearing a man city jersey, like I am while I'm writing this. :-)
Cavani is a great player, he has showed a lot this season in the Champions League and Seria A, and now everyone wants him. How do you know he'd succeed at city at all?
Stop criticizing, City is first. Everyone scores, everyone messes up from time to time. It is on us to support our players and hopefully celebrate the title.
Cheers
Sorry mate, he scores, but he doesn't turn up to the game more often than not. Ted above was saying that we need a player who will contribute to the game, not just stand at the back post to knock the ball in - UNLESS - Mancini starts playing with more emphasis on the flanks, which I believe he should do regardless of Dzeko playing or not.
Mario for me is the same, too little influence across the whole game. We can't afford for Aguero to be injured or be off his game, because we know that it is very likely that neither Dzeko or Mario WILL definately step upto the plate. Usually with Mario due to stupidity, but with Dzeko its down to whether he chooses to do the hard yards and whether he keeps his composure to lay the ball off to a colleague rather than the oppositions midfield.
Yes, it is harsh, but City are in a position now where they can be cocky and demand the very very best. If Mancini chooses not to change his approach, then Dzeko has to adapt otherwise he will be replaced with someone who will put the work in, and who can be relied on to make a simple pass and not go missing for games at a time.
Dendza mate give up it does not matter how many goals hes score, neither the City on the first place table because these three attackers destroyed all the defense, simply whatever individuals Edin has even done a very good and assists this the blitzkrieg against Arsenal. He will go in the summer because ,Manchini put on the bench more and more it is a sign that will probably come Lavezzi or Cavani.Lets hope for a title, Edin will be good wherever he go, I'm sure.
He is on the bench because he doesnt contribute to the overall team's play when he plays. How many fucking people do you ned to tell you this before you understand. This isnt a "get at Dzeko" thread, it is a constructive discussion about what he needs to do to stay here - and you will note I said the same about Balotelli.
I love the guy, and really want him to do well. I had a bet with the guy next to me who slagged him off all last season that he would bag 15 before xmas - I lost, but only because he went seriously off the boil over before xmas (and just after) and Mancini quite rightly didn't play him.
Look at it this way, our owners have a brief to get City to the level of Real Madrid and Barcelona eventually. We have a good squad of players now, and it will be tweaked until we get there - ask yourself, where would Dzeko fit in at either of those clubs?
He just is not technically good enough for either, and not committed enough on the pitch for Barcelona where everyone works their nuts off for each other. If that is where we want to go, and he doesn't improve, he will go, you are absolutely right.
City will move on, we may sign Cavani/Lavezzi but one bonus to that will be that we won't be inundated by whiny fucking argentinian fanboys
