Not on our part. As usual, the media have taken the bike to its ultimate end, by disrespecting Raheem (no change there) and forcing the club to make a statement through Mullock. Arsenal play the game like children and the same media then get the nod from them that he will be going, turning the story into 'Hes a disruptive influence, we're all sick of him and want him out', leaving Arsenal seemingly being the 'Better' club.

It's all a charade and like WW says, all in order to portray is as the pantomime villains for the old Sky 4, and any other fans that have a chip on their shoulder.

Forget all the bollox I say, we just need to understand that this is very close, the bile is too great.

Raheem paying for the apology he got. ????? We need a rethink mate. We are not much better than the Swailes days when it comes to player in or out.......

SSN breaking news now

"Sterling will not be part of any deal involving Sanchez"

Sky must have just found out that the Star exclusive wasn't real.

Mad that innit??

Wonder how that changes the SkyBet odds. For those foolish enough to bet on the media train...

So Sky follow the Star and now the Star follow Sky.
So strange. Here's the latest from the Star, after breaking with their "exclusive" yesterday:

"A proposed move to Arsenal is off, according to Sky Sports.

Arsenal and City have held talks in recent days over a switch which could see Alexis Sanchez head to the Etihad.

The Gunners would want a player-plus-cash deal to let their star forward leave before tomorrow’s 11pm deadline.

Both Sterling and Sergio Aguero were discussed between the two clubs before City saw a formal offer of £50m rejected.

City would prefer a straight-cash deal for Sanchez and are expected to come back with a fresh bid today"

Arsenal: How about we take Aguero or Sterling as part of the deal.

I'd imagine that's how it went, if it even got that far.

Yet sky were reporting that arsenal didn't need Aguero, as they are already stacked with strikers

This shows you exactly what the media has descended to in this country. No facts, no truth, just bullshit and lies in order to get clicks. This story is wholly made up and we now have exclusives that Sterling isn't leaving. (hashtag manU)

Let's get this whole Sanchez transfer to us straight as the blatant lies and propaganda in the media has destorted the real fact that Arsenal FAILED in improved contract talks with there own player last season who was soon out of contract . Sanchez always wanted out of Arsenal once he knew he was wanted by Pep and City , nothing more nothing less ..............

Now we have a media scramble of bullshit , lies , propaganda and pure ridiculous drama played out by fuckwits . Meanwhile MCFC have stayed silent and dignified throughout . How the fuck fuckwits fall for the scum media frenzy and lies is beyond me , social media has a lot to answer for and the media are corrupt as fuck .

The best I heard was that Sanchez is now shite as he isn't playing well for Arsenal, so best off if he goes to City.

In that case, let's suggest a loan with Arsenal paying half his wages. Italian job.

Just think how really bad it is for a club to play 3 players, who are soon to be out of contract, in a game against what should be considered a title rival, just to put them in the shop window or, to force a possible suitor to get the deal done.

That's the reality, Arsenal are sacrificing games in order to make money.

Their fans shouldn't be looking at Sanchez, Ox etc al, they should be looking within.

A familiar path, first bid rejected, followed by 2nd bid and possibly a 3rd. He will probably end up ours at about 60-65m, any more is mad and time to leave it.

If I was negotiating, I'd talk them out this window and then start off with a £25m or so offer in January. Sanchez and Arse should be well pissed off with each other by then. A January transfer would give us Sanchez very cheap for the more challenging CL knockout stage (assuming we get through the group stage without needing his help) and fresh at a time when our players are knackered after the first half of the season. And it would still give Sanchez the opportunity to play CL football and perform for inclusion in Chile's WC squad.

Good call JL; although, to my mind, £25 million might still be a little too steep.

For my money, we should start at £15 million, or so.

The only problem is that Pep wants him now and if he doesn't get him, he's going to squeam and squeam and squeam until he's sick

IMO with Sanchez we win the PL league. Without him it is a maybe.

Managers are under pressure to deliver immediately, none more so than Pep.
If Sanchez brings what Pep expects and what we badly need (i.e. clinical in front of goal)
(plus goals, assists, winners mentality, good attitude, work rate, skill, etc...) then he is worth £70M.

Pep does not have the luxury of time to deliver.
Also, he has to deal with club anti bias, corrupt decisions by refs, etc...
So we have to be so much better than everybody else.
50/50 games we will lose due to corrupt decisions.
We need Sanchez.

btw:
I read a headline after the Rags 2nd match that screamed: £90M + £75M = GOALS. Pogba and Lukaku are fantastic buys, etc...
Imagine the headlines Pep would get in similar circumstances.
So go on Pep, splash out on Sanchez, lets win things - and enjoy the backlash from behind those nice shiny pots.

I don't think it matters any more. Prices are so fucked up it doesn't bear any relation to value.

Well in my mind it's as simple as..... Sanchez will be worth zero to Whinger in 28.5 hours from now. Offer them £50,000,001 at 8pm tomorrow night which will leave just enough time for the paperwork to be done before deadline.

£50 million is still way too much imo.....
