It just goes to show what a manager can do with £200 million!
I think Hughes has bought really well, as we all knew he could when you consider his transfer record at Blackburn.
Where City will really benefit this season is not being in Europe, we plated an extra 20 games last season and it showed.

Having seen a re-run of the game, I'd have to go for Barry. He did all the stuff Hamman used to do but a whole world better & more creative/dynamic.

(Apart from one Roberts roasting, Dunne was responsible for about 90% of match winning type challenges & deserves a special mention.)

My vote is for Shaun, the constant motoring around the pitch, chipping in on defending, setting up two (although Stevie did most of the work himself). Shaun's commitment to the badge and team should be a lesson to everyone else

Barry for me - Got stuck in, some great tackles and looked brilliantly composed on the Ball, Bellers did well seccond half though.

One special mention to Toure - Class!

Nice to see the variety of names put forward. I couldn't really name a man of the match; we weren't outstanding, but quite afew players made quite a few key contributions.

Smacks of a team that can win without being at their best.

Which is really encouraging.
