The Guardian chalkboards show how many tacles he puts in for the two prem games he has played this year and last year which indicate that he has mostly been as effective as all the other midfielders on top of having a better pass percentage.
He attempts as many tackles as the others and is as about as successful. And if he attempts it surely it can be regarded as closing down as it is with other players.
He may not run aroound like a headless chicken which Bellars does a lot of the time and if thats what impresses the fans on here he has no chance.
I've noticed him in our own half doing his bit plenty of times and for me he would walk straight back into the team probably at the expense of Tevez for me or Bellars if it had to be.

Rag do you have to defend one player by (unjustly) slagging off another?
Plenty of Robbie lovers on here without your need for 'theatre'

Not my fault your fickle and the slagging off of Robson that has gone on in this thread can be tolerated but somebody says a word against Saint Bellars and its unjust is it.
And calling him a headless chicken is not so bad considering some of the things he has been called on here.
Probably was a bit unkind to Bellars its probably all the swearing he does that contributes to his cannonization also.

A. If you bother to read the thread you will see I don't want Robbie to go
and
B. Bellers is playing out of his skin at the moment so why you think he deserves your vitreol on a thread that has nothing to do with him is completely beyond me

At the moment he is in the form of his life, scoring two against the premier league champions AWAY FROM HOME (very important part that), scoring against Villa AWAY FROM HOME, scoring for Wales AWAY FROM HOME and scoring against Arsenal as well as setting other goals up...
Again I'll say it - Dropping Bellamy right now now for ANYTHING other than a rest/injury would be stupid.

What vitriol would that be?
And the reason why I've bought up Saint Bellamy is because him playing out of his skin deserves him keeping his place, according to some(maybe you).
However in the three games I have seen Robson play this year he in my opinion has played better than Bellamy, and so deserves his place back if it is at the expense of Bellamy.

I don't think he wants to go or that we want him to go. But it seems the norm to make up stories about a player who is out injured and somebody decides to make a thread of it for something to talk about.

Shows the difference in attitude from fans, doesn't it.
Barcelona send out a rumour about Fabregas and Robinho. Are Arsenal fans talking about how they don't really need Fabregas?
