Isn't that part of the Dubai world complex that has brought the Dubai government to it's knees financially? Complete with Utd soccer schools I see too, serves em right

Could it be something to do with motorsports, too, I wonder?

is that the fella who last Christmas sold his sole to Santa?

it was a dyslexic agnostic insomniac and he lay awake all night wondering if there was a dog

That sounds like a great, and what's more health and safety ideal, idea. Wonder why no-one ever thought of it before?

What, like my suggestion of Ferrari World UK? For those that don't know Ferrari World is the huge theme park next door to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix circuit, part of the Yas Island resort, looks very cool and as our chairman was heavily involved in that and Ferrari itself you never know

Arup and Turner & Townsend have been selected to prepare 17 acres of land around Manchester City Football Club’s stadium in East Manchester ahead of major redevelopment.

Part of the former coal pit around the City of Manchester stadium had been earmarked for a regional casino but has been sitting empty since 2007. The remediation work, being carried out on behalf of Manchester City Council, will include removal of underground structures, treatment of excavated material and the demolition of the visitors’ centre.

Turner & Townsend is acting as cost consultant, while engineer Arup may see its role expand to include the extension of the 47,726-capacity stadium.

Abu Dhabi United Group, the owner of Manchester City, is understood to be drawing up plans for the project with Building Design Partnership (BDP). Other nearby landowners, such as Harrow Estates, are also thought to be in discussion with the club about potential development sites near the stadium.

planning consent must have been granted for the underground preparatory work, cos the Arup application has disappeared from the Public site.
It covers the area from the B of the Bang to the North Car Park on ATW, east of the ground.
So first off they're going to fix the drains and get rid of any old mine works, then we may get an idea what they're going to put on it

It will be a state of the art training complex, so we will move from Carrington to this. It will literally be the biggest and best one in the world.

93 acres, it will have a swimming pool and it will be called the Amazon because it is covered in a dome of glass.

They will be able to replicate any condition they want, so they can set any temperature, any lighting conditions etc inside the dome. Handy if they are playing away games in Spain or whatever. Probably alot more to add but don't know that much.

First team, reserves, everybody will train there.

The fact that an extension has been mentioned is very interesting, and in my oppinion, the ultimate goal of any development Imho. It may take 2 or 3 seasons to get to that point, which is why a professional website has mentioned it, rather than a billy bullshit daily rag.

That sounds pretty great...

An expansion of the stadium would be good and a small village around the stadium itself, where only city fans and mint bitches are allowed.

That way we could generate the income neccessary and be surrounded by mint bitches.

At least anyone with a nagging doubt that Sheikh Mansour might suddenly decide to bail can now breath a little easier. They're making a long term investment for the Club here.

Thanks!
