I think he has been excellent. Except that Iniesta should've been sending off.

Aaaaaaah, you complain about the game yet say the ref, who should've sent a couple off and allowed it to fall into decay, is doing a good job.

Like I say, OK!

well Webb was shit in extra time. Typical that you praise someone and he turns horseshit.

As a game of football it was crap. Worst World Cup final since Italy 90. Of course there was drama in the end but there was always going to be considering the stakes.

The fact that you were calling first half quality tactical football and everyone who thought otherwise 'sunday league followers' REALLY says it all. It was crap and if you didn't see it then you are blind.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

That Alonso dive in the first half was amazing. How he fooled us all into thinking de Jong kicked him in the chest was a brilliantly timed illusion.

Get the blinkers off Doomy. Yes Iniesta dived but Holland got away with murder. Should have been down to ten men before half time.

Alonso wasn't murdered he was just kicked in the chest. Get over it. Spain dived all fucling day. it was just as embarrassing as Holland beating their asses. Sorry but it's true.

DoomMerchant wrote:Webb and Iniesta were a complete joke. Robben will rue his chances. Great tournament for Holland, shit fuclin performance from Webb on so many levels and Iniesta cheated his way to a world cup by diving for the sending off, little cunt. i hate him for that.

And the lack of a Dutch corner on the goal kick that led to the goal? jesus...so fucking basic how do you fuck that up?

I'm angry...shit result. You can say Spain deserve it for being the more positive team, but that's bollocks. Holland got jobbed, plain and simple. I'm sorry. Congrats Mr Webb. Congrats to the little Spanish divers too. Those little bitches fell over all day long...and earned a WC Final victory in the process.

cheers

Well done that man, well said! Although Webb could've sent a couple of Dutch players off, the same could've been said for the Spanish. How Webb and the boys couldn't have give the corner and subsequent foul is beyond me.

Spain obviously deserved it because they play football? Why not just hand over every competition?

Holland were shite. Wasn't fussed either way at the start but in the end I was chuffed the dirty, whining fuckers lost.

And if I was Cookie I'd be redrafting the deal for Torres or walking away altogether. Its not as if Torres would ever catch him if he did.

I agree, Holland were fucking rough but Spain were a bunch of fannies who were playing on it. DeJong's was a possible red card sure but we've been on the end of several identical ones in recent seasons & not even had a free kick & Puyol has dished out plenty of the same in the past & often got away with it, as has Ramos. Also, it's not even been deemed worth a comment by Hansen & Co on MOTD when it's happened to us, yet now it's like a war crimes trial to the same people. All gone very raggy.

Personally the reason why I wasn't fussed at the start of the game was that neither team had done much if anything to capture my interest. Brazil and Germany I enjoyed watching. Uruguay as well for some reason. Holland I thought were fairly average from the off and struggled to remain average. Spain never really took off but at least did show some quality in patches.

Delighted Holland lost. Awful fucking team.

not sure what all you drama queens are going on about here, but one good thing to come out of this is that hopefully we wont be going anywhere near Torres. i think there used to be a posh dogmeat factory somewhere around the Chelsea area.

Do we know for sure that Torres was genuinely injured & not just cheating like he often does? He was up, bouncing around & laughing & joking 5 mins later. He's a complete wanker & I don't trust him.

Gillie -- what's dirtier -- a rought coupla tackles or someone falling over after they see Webb reaching in his pocket all day and earning someone a red and a slew of other yellows? For me it's the same...it's a game, and they both played it like we saw it.

We saw the worst of both teams today, and that was too bad, but i'd rather have the team putting the crunching tackles in than the team running around like a bunch of pansies pretending to be injuried and falling down all over like a bunch of Italians...and yes i saw RVP get into the act strutting his Wenger-honed diving skills once so don't mention it to me. He's a fucler who did nothing the entire tournament.

Holland are filled with fantastic footballers Gillie...van Bommel included. Love that bastard.

cheers

At least the best team won.

Webb bottled the De Jong and multiple Van Bommel incidents. Holland should have paid the price before half time and Spain should have ran out winners in the second half.

One of the most cynical matches I have ever seen

Well he bottled it when Puyol tried to drag Robben to the ground when he was one on one with casillas, it was a blatent grab as he was getting away but because Robben stayed up for first time in his career their wasn't even a foul.. It annoyed me to no end every time a spanish player got fouled he ran up to ref and asked for ref to give dutch player a yellow, I thought you were supposed to get booked for doing that.

Saying that Dutch were playing dirty and kicking every thing that moved I just think the Spanish were milking it for all its worth

Totally agree. I was hating Iniesta with a passion last night. Even before he scored.

I've referred to this kind of thing before, when players stay on their feet whilst being fouled, refs don't usually give the foul. It encourages diving. If you don't chuck yoursef on the floor you don't get anything.

Actually Nige was aiming for Alonso's head but his leg was not long enough ! I just hope he doesn't do that shit when playing for us.

True, but the real reason Robben stayed on his feet was that he wasn't in the penalty area. As soon as he was, down he went.
