In fact yes i will because i am bored in bed and using the new app.
I have already bought 2 home kits for my 2 boys for 58 quid and 1 ripped his today. I purley have not bought 1 for me as a cant afford to at them prices. So i either buy fake at a fraction of the cost and get the away shirts aswell for cheaper than 1 home shirt.
So by my reckoning im not ripping city off. I get the shirts for cheaper than city and city and etihad get free advertising off me and the boys which they woulnt have got had i not been able to afford the fake kits. Its win all round for everyone.

Wow, what a wholly misguided justification.

Nicely done.

I don't see the equivalence there.

I wouldn't steal, or buy stolen goods. However, I have no qualms with buying a fake shirt, as I have done dozens (well, 7 or 8 from memory) of times. The better quality, the more satisfied I am (or in the case of my Guojong Beijing 'Abibas' kit, the worse the better).

However, going the extra step to buy from an online source is something I haven't done so far. If satisfactory kits turn up in the markets of Sarajevo in the next month or so, I'll be getting one or two, at 7-10 euros a piece.

And with the 'Scamming your own club line'- can you honestly say that everything City-related you have ever bought has been an officially-licensed product? And you never jumped the turnstiles as a kid?

I think there's a lot of equivalence. Whichever way you look at it, you are prepared to wear a shirt that the club have received zero revenue for. What difference stealing it from the store or buying it off some dodgy company?

I have purchased unlicensed products - but not products where there is an equivalent official item available. For example the Tevez Welcome To Manchester t shirt (before the club released their own version).

That doesn't cost the club revenue though does it. They've already earned their bit.

There's a big difference; stealing actually costs the club (and shop a shirt was stolen from) money. Buying a fake does not cost the club or anyone else a penny. Take a look at last season's kits available:

Home
Away
3rd
all with their Prem/Europa permutations
Cup Final Replica
Tonal Home & Away
2x Keepers tops
That's 11 different shirts that were on sale (as well as the corresponding shorts and socks) from the top of my head, each staggered with release date to maximise profit, or get rid of excess stock. I honestly really feel for parents with kids in the 8-14 age group who feel pressured in to buying this stuff- something I feel City doesn't, judging from the tactical release dates, prices, and the fact you cannot take a shirt back to the shop for printing at a later date.

I don't see how you can castigate people for buying fake goods and not for jumping turnstiles (which is/was stealing at the end of the day, but not on a level I personally have a problem with, kind of like scrumping apples), or watching a game via a dodgy stream.

It depends which way you look at it. It costs the club lost revenue. It doesn't have a material cost to them however.

I think there's 2 type of people in the world - those who do/will buy counterfeit and those who won't. There doesn't appear to be a grey area and I don't think either side will ever convince the other that their view is the right view.

Hmm, I'm not so sure. The conditions of the sweatshops that these poor maltreated 8 year old need to work 18 hours a day in can be quite appaling I've heard*

Totally agree. But those that think it's acceptable to buy counterfeits never criticize others for not thinking in the same way.

Update: Just seen the first red & black fakes- NOT from a postal company, but in street markets. very poor quality, collar and badge are totally off. will probably improve within a month or two...

I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do here, but I find it pretty shocking that people so dedicated to city that they read and post here in there spare time are comparing the best spots to buy fake tops that rips off the club.
Tracking back is overrated.

12 euros if you want one.

As I've stated before, it's exactly the same as looking for streams. More people watching the game via illegitimate sources > less revenue for TV > less money for clubs. Do I care? Not that much.
