give him whatever he wants (except a transfer) and get it all swept under the carpet.
the last thing we need is more bad coverage in the press, and our most prolific player not giving his all in games.

city, get it sorted, he's worth it.

I completely disagree Danny..If I was the owner I'd tell him to go fuck himself and put him in the reserves to see out his contract

If we give in to this ungrateful twat then every player we have will think if they pull a hissy fit they can do the same

I'd rather lose this dickhead than our integrity

I agree partially. If we allow Tevez to get what he wants, or more likely what his agent wants, we are fucked. It will happen with every player. We absolutely can't bow down to this. We negotiate the same as we would with any other player; in the summer.

We have nothing to gain by putting him in the reserves either though, unless he refuses to play. That would be madness.

If he doesn't withdraw his transfer request, then we can just tell him we'll look at offers, if & when they come. In the meantime, if he's happy to play, he'll still work twice as hard as Balotelli on the pitch & we can sign another striker or two in Jan, to phase him out. Bob will be the ideal bloke to sort this out. Get him working, use him like he's using us. He may change his mind, or may not even have known that he's put in a transfer request until now!

They're doing to him what the rags did to shrek. Look at the club statement, where they put all the contradictory requests together - wanting a new deal mid-season and wanting to be with his family. They've made him out to look like the complete dick him (and his agent) are. When he's sold, there would always be a press backlash, but now they can concentrate on picking Herman apart, just like they did to Shrek. If he really did go to Europe, rather than to visit his daughter this week, the press will find out, find out which club he met and who he was banging and they will tear him apart.

No, no and no.

This isn't some fucking company. This is a team. .....and not just any team. He's the highest fuckin player on it and now his advisors are milking City for more. Either that or he's so fucked off with Mancini that he's saying it's either him or me.

Well no matter which way you look at it, a transfer request is just that. A request to be transfered. So let's transfer his ugly arse out of the club and move on.

.....and yes. I agree that he probably is the best striker in the world at the moment but that's completely beside the point.

He would be sacked

Not sure the agent blame is bullshit. Imo the agent has forced the issue now because it's a got stronger hand in mid season than in the summer, when City would probably be willing to negotiate.

If I'm honest I do agree to a significant extent with Bingo. We have to do it in a way that doesn't make us easy targets for this kind of nonsense from all and sundry going forward but face facts....Carlos Tevez is an exceptional case.

We need him more than he needs us. If he's getting 180k a week there will be another club who'll pay him 130-140k....he's not going to end up on the streets either way.

If it were me I'd stick him a loyalty bonus now that is payable if he stays and performs to the end of the season. THEN we can renegotiate if appropriate or otherwise listen to offers.

It's not him we're dealing with though it's his representative. The hacks on Crossan's Youtube thingy mentioned a name; Heinze. Why the fuck did he leave OT when he did? Any deal we do would have to give his rep a huge pay rise. Real or Barca have probably offered him exactly that for landing them Tevez.

Sure it is but he hasn't made one yet has he? There's no way this is a straight forward 'Tevez wants more money' situation. He's been under the control of that bloke since he was a kid.

Agreed. We have to take a stand this time.

We need to rid the club of this kind of nonesense and we will not do that by pandering to him and his agents.

Agree, and unpalatable though it is, any "loyalty" payment we would pay Carlos would need to reward also the disloyalty of his Mr 15%

Call me a cynic but I'm sure this isn't an accident. It's clearly been bubbling for some time with contract negotiations, fall outs, etc. Howver, I'm sure that whoever's responsible for this has done it at a time when we feel the maximum effect. Just when we were all pinching ourselves about being joint top.

It's more to do with the run up to the Jan transfer window imo. Rooney was the same idea; a replacement would cost much more & be harder to get at this time of year. Strongest negotiating point for the agents.

because taking a brokerage from a multimillions transfer is more lucrative than the commission fees on the wages only. Also bear in mind that Spain is applying a taxation level on players wages which is lowest in Europe, so dont worry even the Spanish slice could be interesting.
I'm sure Gary, Brian And Bob will fuck Kia plans, though.

Furthermore, because this is somehow a public place and I don't want to embarass the board which is hosting me, I am gonna abstain from further consideration on which entities will further benefit from destabilization at City.

on my take on this, 2 points,1) funny this happens as barca get that BIG investment (sponsorship] of 125 mill and 2) why do the fuck do we let him go back to argentina every few weeks if we/him got no games. hes got so much money why carnt he fly his children over here for a couple of weeks at a time. But if he really wants to leave, its in our court as we could get lots for him and he doesnt leave untill we get lots of money for him. edit, how can we still get players who want to be here then want to fuck us up and get out, rob anyone

It amazes me that so many people are saying just get rid now. I'm certainly glad you are not running the club.

Tevez is under contract so if we refuse his transfer request, he has to stay and play. We are currently joint top of the league and have a genuine chance of winning it. Why on earth would we just get rid of our best player?

We have to work on a solution here. I don't think he should get a pay rise so it's good to see the club appear not be doing this. Instead, we should say to Tevez that he stays until at least the end of the season. Then if he's still unhappy, the club will be willing to look into a transfer should the right deal come up for us.

There is no way on earth we should let him go in January. We have a league title to try and win. Selling Tevez in Jan would greatly hamper our chances. I cannot believe that so many on here are willing to do this. It's madness.
