hows about this for an idea.....?
give him whatever he wants (except a transfer) and get it all swept under the carpet.
the last thing we need is more bad coverage in the press, and our most prolific player not giving his all in games.
city, get it sorted, he's worth it.
I completely disagree Danny..If I was the owner I'd tell him to go fuck himself and put him in the reserves to see out his contract
If we give in to this ungrateful twat then every player we have will think if they pull a hissy fit they can do the same
I'd rather lose this dickhead than our integrity

if you joined a company, and signed an employment contrct at a certain salary, regardless of what the salary is, and 18 months later you're still on that salary, but the company has moved forward very quickly and you are known to be the best at your job in the company, would you ask for a payrise? and if the boss said know would you not try some hard ball negotiation to get your pay rise? i know i would.
fans need to realise that football is just a job to these players, and they will treat it just the same as we would do ours.
i'll say it again, give him what he wants and move on.

We need him more than he needs us. If he's getting 180k a week there will be another club who'll pay him 130-140k....he's not going to end up on the streets either way.
If it were me I'd stick him a loyalty bonus now that is payable if he stays and performs to the end of the season. THEN we can renegotiate if appropriate or otherwise listen to offers.

Final decision is his Ruxpin at the end of the day

Call me a cynic but I'm sure this isn't an accident. It's clearly been bubbling for some time with contract negotiations, fall outs, etc. Howver, I'm sure that whoever's responsible for this has done it at a time when we feel the maximum effect. Just when we were all pinching ourselves about being joint top.

However, the insinuation is that this is all caused by his greedy agent, but if greed were the only motive why would you try and force a move away from the most generous club in the world?
Whilst it leaves quite a lot of room for hope, and we certainly are the club who can push the boat out to convince a player to stay...
Its still a fucking huge bummer
because taking a brokerage from a multimillions transfer is more lucrative than the commission fees on the wages only. Also bear in mind that Spain is applying a taxation level on players wages which is lowest in Europe, so dont worry even the Spanish slice could be interesting.
I'm sure Gary, Brian And Bob will fuck Kia plans, though.
Furthermore, because this is somehow a public place and I don't want to embarass the board which is hosting me, I am gonna abstain from further consideration on which entities will further benefit from destabilization at City.
