We'd hurt the team more by benching him at this point. If he makes a couple more though, Given may get the call.

Perhaps, yesterday, he should've tipped it around the post.

However Hart is still the best keeper at the club and will hopefully become the mainstay of our team for at least 10 years. There is no way he should be dropped.

Why are people mentioning that it was Kolo's fault. Silva was asking for the ball so Kolo played it to feet and Silva didn't control, which he'd done a few times earlier. Yaya then let Young go unopposed, whilst him and Jerome were taking a chance that Silva would off-load the ball, which left it open for the shot on goal. Hart should've done better, but fair play to Villa for being quick to get to Silva, and for being even quicker to react after getting the ball.

Bent scoring was an almost certainty, and we all knew it :(

i'd drop him. don't understand why the goalkeeping position has to be one or the other. if players consistently play poorly they get dropped. what is the thinking behind this bizarreness???

it was kolo's fault because he took a penalty at silva. it was impossible to control that ball.

I'm watching it right now mate and it was a normal ball into feet. It bobbled a bit as it came to Dave but nothing that anyone who's played football couldn't control.

I think Hart will be disappointed in his efforts that ended up in the goal yesterday, I personally expect the No1 at our club to be one of the best in the world and as much as I like hart, I am losing confidence in him.

I wouldnt drop him, but I would certainly let him know he isnt far off it and he needs to up his game and cut out the sloppyness.
