If the text is actually true (all though I doubt it), Ade is not only gay and/or left handed, but also abusive and prone to domestic violence. That's a bit of a shocker, though.

MY thoughts exaclty. If anyone is going "yeah figured as much" I'd like to hear it. Otherwise this is legitimately shocking, gay straight or otherwise. The story in itself could 100% lies and its still a shock to me.

I don't see how it's a non issue. If it's true, he's one nasty piece of work & if he treats his boyfriend like that, even though the bloke is obviously an odious shitbag, chances are Ade's pretty obnoxious in other ways too & probably not a very likeable bloke to have in your team.

Fair play to any footballer that comes out. It would take a hell of a lot of guts knowing the abuse you're going to get from other fans, some of your own fans, fellow players, random people in the street, the British press, etc. I can't think of any footballer that has come out whilst still playing.

I'm not sure how it has affected Gareth Thomas, who is still playing Rugby League, and whether he has anything said to him on a regular basis. I would imagine he does get snide remarks, maybe more so because he was married and left his wife, but I don't think it would be to the same extent as a footballer would. Would you say anything to his face??!
